Gently guide the fork back into place. The stem isn’t holding the steerer and preventing this from happening. Be mindful of the cable routing and take your time. Make sure you follow all the assembly instructions and you’ll be fine. Check for play in the headset by holding the brakes the rocking the bike forward and back, you’ll feel the movement, a click or pop, and know you need to redo your stem install.
Is it obsidian bloom colour? Can you post some photos once you set up the bike?
If the crown is in place on the fork, you just need to push the fork back in the head tube.
