Just saw someone else post something similar and realized I never put mine up here. I found this saddle at the junkyard and put some time into restoring it, mainly as a learning exercise. Cleaned, re-riveted with Brooks cooper rivets, evaporust on the hardware, and a lot of proofhide, came out pretty sweet and I now sport it on my commuter. My only issue with it is it’s still staining my pants after buffing the piss out of it.

Wear black pants.
I frequently have same stains, also. Even if I buff out proofhide almost every week. Strangely though, after I installed brakes on my bike, I stopped having them.
