Bonjour. It’s day number 21. I think that’s van. Um, of our tour to France challenge. And today, oh, it’s a mosquito on me. Get off. Is my last half rest day. I’ve had one half rest day and one full rest day. And today’s the last one. It’s 10:30 in the A.M. and I’ve just got 40 miles to ride. Part of stage 16, isn’t it, Kyle? Yeah, part of stage 16. From here, just outside of M, where are we? Mont Pelle. And I’m going up to somewhere, a little tiny place I’ve forgotten the name of. We’ll find out when we get there. Up to somewhere. 40 miles into the stage. And then tomorrow we’ll do Bondu on Kyle’s 30th birthday. You’re right out there. Mhm. What you hiding your phone from me? Yeah. Need to be going on my phone. You just I look I never hide my phone from you, but there’s something I don’t want you to see. Clearly, I wouldn’t have a phone from you if it was something. Sorry about that. So, yeah, it’s really hot outside. Ideally, I would have got up and like left at 8:00 a.m., but we can’t check into the accommodation till later. So, just going to get there early and then hop in the car and go to the supermarket. Rest day, supermarkets, my favorite bit. Mhm. You got anything to add, Kyle? What’s your plan? Look forward to washing the car. Yeah. Today’s a day of getting stuff done that don’t usually get a chance to do. We’re going to wash the car. I didn’t want to do this in a day when you were riding, but I never get no time. No time. And oh, we’ve got some questions again to answer. So, when we get there later, we’ll do a little Q&A and then have an early night for tomorrow. But Kyle, you going to meet me 20 miish? No, maybe like 30 mi in for a bakery. Bakery lunch. Bakery lunch. Right. Anyway, I’m hoping that my heat rash is not going to get worse today. It’s gone a bit down overnight, but it’s still quite bad. Got lots of flybys. They’re not nice. And yeah, my legs are basically just covered in rash. So, I was up quite a lot in the night with that, but nothing I can really do. I’ve been using Oh, better put me tracker on. Have you put my tracker on? No. I’ve been using antihistamines. I’ve got some steroid cream. I’ve got aloe vera. But nothing really seems to be helping. So, we’ll got a shorter day in the heat today and then get back in the air con and I should be okay. I am off and it’s absolutely baking again. I feel like I’m being roasted already. But the aim today is nice super steady spin like recovery. No pushing. So nice and easy and just trying not to be too hot. Right, I’m now back on the official tour to French route, stage 16. Getting back to the point that I left the route yesterday was a nightmare. It’s a one mile long straight road just full of traffic. No way to get round it. So just had to sit sweltering for a bit. But I’m on the move now, so all is good. I’m out of Mont Pelle now. I’ve never known too many red lights. I’m at another one. There’s a lot of road works going on. Probably ready for the tour. They’re here on the 22nd. So, 5 days time. It’s 17th today. So, they’re catching me up. They will catch them if I keep getting stuck at these blooming red lights. I’m riding along. I just saw Kyle pull out from the petrol station. He’s up there ahead. He didn’t see me. He’ll be driving to the meat point. Meeting me in Quizac for a bakery which is 10 milesi from the end and then get to the end. It’s really bad headwind today actually. It’s not too nice but it’s okay. Quizak makes me think of Mcizzy or M what’s his name? That little squirrel off that open season films. Is it Mcfizzy or something? Mc who is it? Mcfinny. Mc can’t remember it now. Oh, I know. M Squeezy. That’s it. Mixy the little squirrel. So, Kyle’s meeting me here somewhere for a little snack. And then I’ve only got 12 miles to go, but we thought might as well break it up cuz we can’t get any accommodation until 3. So, somewhere it should be. Can’t see it on the camera, but on that pharmacy sign it says 37°. Thought I felt hot. Well, I found a little bakery, Lemulan Deagar. I think Agar is a train station, actually. But Kyle isn’t here. Time to tick in my friend Kylie. Beat him here today. Probably be here in a minute. Here he is. Did you get lost? Right into the village. Oh yes, silly. You thought we can sit here, Kyle. Oh, that would be lovely. Parts the bike we got enough stop and turn. I was actually speak. I went all dizzy, lad. Did you? Are you okay? You had enough to drink? I want some water. Do you want some of your electrolytes? Oh, Kyle, it’s a good one. It’s a really good one. I’m a bit worried about the bike. It’ be okay out there, won’t it? Oh, short. These my dad’s favorite. He’d be having his ear. Yeah, he loves them. I do. I do. It’s like a custard thing. Honestly, all kinds of these cheesy. Yeah. Why you guys that [Music] savory or sweet or both? Savory. Yeah. Looks nice, don’t. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Sweet as well. Tony Tony. Tony. Tony Tony. Hot dog. Holy roll. I thought you was only you will be able to find a sausage roll at a bakery in France. Hol sausage. Oh yeah. What you thinking? Thinking bit dizzy. Bit dizzy. Have your coke. Come on team. Dream team. You okay? Yeah. It’s really weird. Just started feeling dizzy when I arrive then and here. I had a busy morning. You be cleaning stuff and probably not eating enough. Get that down. 30 tomorrow. Two day birthday celebration. Birthday starts now. That’s what this um dizziness is. I’m getting old. Yeah. And I’ve got a nice don a cookie. And what else did you get, Kyle? Uh what is it? I don’t know what you got. I heard you say new nugget. I had a little conversation with the woman in there actually. I was telling her I managed to tell her that tomorrow I’m doing Montto and I’m starting the tour to France. You did well there. Did quite well. What did you say? I said devour and I said nerv. I don’t know what remain is. I don’t know how to say remaining but and also on the there it says 37°. No wonder I’m sweltering melting down here. It’s all right for you and that blowing air con mate. No, I want the heat. You want the heat? Do you want to swap? I don’t have the honestly the air. I like being hot. That’s why you’re dizzy. Well, when my laborers have always said in the car we’ve had that I always turn the heat up even in the summer. That’s ridiculous. Wow. Get your sausage out. Different from what I’m used to. But is it nice? Thank you. This is like a hot dog hot dog. Is it? Oh yeah. Bit interesting. Nice actually. This sandwich is as big as my head. Is that okay to eat all those? You need to eat all that. That bread looks really soft. This reminds me of sandwiches my grand used to meet me. That bread looks really soft and you can tell. Look how nice. It’s not perfect, is it? Shake that it’s been made. That was really good. I’m challenging myself a lot this trip cuz before this trip I never used to eat white bread, but didn’t eat it. And I only really like to eat whole meal, but you know when they’ve only got you only got white, you have to go with it. Anyway, made you a song, Kyle. Made you another one. I’m going to do a song. Good day. Mhm. So goes all rise one for the times of blah blah blah that one goes all rise. Yeah, that one blue. So it goes um something like that. Right, you ready? Going nons. One for the snacks that Kyle brings and two for the times that my itchy stings. All right. Three for the mountains we climb and four for the times that they have made me cry. We ride five for the almond quest and six for the times that Kyle wants to cry cuz I am being difficult. Do you like that? I mean the ending could do with some work. It doesn’t really rhyme at the end for now. For some reason the whole time you singing that I was thinking what year was that? Five. We could make it to actually. Is it five? Is it five? Quissant. Quant. Oh, I know. I’ve got one. I’ve got a better one. Five for the almond. Quasant and six for the times that Kyle has clean my shorts because they pong. That’s better. That’s a better ending. Well, that’s the next song on the list. Got 12 miles to go to where we’re staying when it’s getting hot. But when I get there, we won’t be able to check in yet. So, I’ll jump in the car and we’ll go to the supermarket. car would have to hide my tracker under a bush or something otherwise it’ll think that I’m going really fast in the bike. Um, obviously not doing any of the route in the car, just going to supermarket and back to where I stopped. But 12 mi of sizzle now sizzling a bit jealous, aren’t you? I’m jealous of those sunglasses. I like them. I’m jealous of your air con as well cuz that’s going to sizzle. Anyway, 12 miles won’t take you on the heat. Can’t believe you’ve not got the air con. We’ve decided to get the ice and the tights out before I go because it’s 38° now. And I am hot. So Kyle, the man, the main man, is getting the tights. Going to put ice down my back in tights, which will help to keep me a bit cooler. Cycling this heat really does make you realize how epic the pros are because the thought of trying to push and go fast in this weather, like feeling so hot, is just unbearable. So they really are epic. like mental the fact they can push. It’s probably all hot and sweaty in the pelaton as well. 9 miles left to go today. Feels so hard in this heat. But tomorrow I’m going to leave really early so get most of it done before the heat hits. Woohoo. This is where we’re staying tonight. doing Messi. I think Mesog I’m ready to get into the cold air con. I tell you that. Gee boys. Our accommodation would be up a blooming hill, wouldn’t it? Not even on the route. Come off the to French route now to get to our accommodation going up this. Not what I need. [Applause] It gets steeper. Just needing 35° heat. We’ll make it in the end. Hallelujah. I made it to car with the whip. Got to put my bike on the back now. What time is it? I wanted to do it in my car park and get changed and stuff. What you mean? You mean to get changed massive car park down there. I’ll walk down. You drive down. I’ll roll down. I’ll roll down. I’ll roll down to the car park. You know where it is? Yeah. Uh, no. Where? Okay. Cuz I can’t check in for another hour, I think. So, we’re going to go to the supermarket now. Let’s use some wet wipes and get changed. And so hot. Oh, I’m back in the Scoda sanctuary. It’s nice and cold in here. 38° today. Can’t It’s hotter than yesterday. It feels it, doesn’t it? We feel warm outside. Yeah. Horrible bikes on the car. But, um, bikes on the car. We can’t get in the accommodation yet. So, we’re going to the supermarket and we’re going to wash the whip. We’re going to wash the whip. I think it’s a we’re going to wash the car. I think it’s a super I think it’s a service station first out supermarket. Okay. To wash the car first. Car wash then supermarket cuz what I might do is sit in the car wash while you go to supermarket. Oh yeah because got lights in the back. Yeah. We don’t want We’re not leaving the bikes on their own. No way. Kyle’s just taking the bike rack off because he’s going to put the car through the car wash over there and he’s worried it might knock the bike rack off. Is it easy to get off and on though Kyle? I can’t. Is it? It’s too hot for us messing around. Right. So, I’ve been left with two bikes. Got the water. K’s going over there. I’ve assumed you’ll be going through there just in the queue waiting. To be fair, the car does need a good clean. I’m sure you meant to sit in the car when you car. You meant to sit in the car. K. I’m pretty sure you meant to sit in the car. The other woman did. [Music] How do you know? You’ve never been through. I’ve been through one of them. Have you? Yeah. Well, this is this is different. Chat GPT, help me bring in the Cody. It’s due me. I don’t know why, but it’s a bit nerve-wracking. See a big roller going. [Music] Hopefully, it’s going to look nice and clean. looking. Right then, we’ve been to the shop. We’re back in our accommodation. It’s very nice. It’s very small. As Kyle says, you couldn’t swing a cat in here. Yes, it’s um not leaving a lot of room. No, it’s not. It is really nice. It’s okay. There’s only two of us. Right. Anyway, we’re going to finish the video with some questions that you lovely lot sent in. We haven’t got time to answer all of them unfortunately, but we’ll answer a few because I need to get nice rested for tomorrow because tomorrow we’ve got Vonu and it’s Kyle’s 30th birthday tomorrow. Don’t need to mention that, but So Kyle’s getting old. Right, let me roll up the questions. Hang on. Here we go. I’m just going to randomly pick a few. Is that right? K’s got the world’s smallest coffee right now. Not very impressed with this. Right. How hard is it when you’re not filming and just riding for all those hours? That’s a good question because obviously you see maybe like half an hour to 40 minutes of a 10 to 12 hour day. It depends what mood I’m in. Some days it’s really easy and it goes really quick and the views are amazing. There have been times though when I just not that I’m bored, but it just seems like the day is just dragging and I’m having I always do things to distract myself. So look out for animals, normally make up songs, listen to music, somebody Yeah. Somebody else asked how do I how do I listen to music? I’ve got some shocks headphones, but also I just play my music out loud on my phone. I do get a few French looks when I go for the little villages and my music’s playing out loud, but I don’t mind it. It is hard sometimes for the long hours, but I always just remind myself it’s a privilege to be able to do this and this is so much better than like a 9 to 5 office job. So, what part of your body is aching the most and are you aching as much as expected? To be fair, no, I’m not aching as much as I expected. I think because I’ve been going nice and steady, like I’ve been following my coach’s orders, just I’ve not been pushing. I don’t think I’ve got the ability to push right now. So, I think the most achy bit is probably like my quads and sometimes my calves a little bit, but yeah, to be fair, I’m not aching as much as I thought. I ache a lot more after a hilly ride in the Peak District when I’ve pushed. So, I think like just going steady has been really good. My knees, every so often I feel my knees, I’m like, “Oh, my knees are aching a bit.” Then the next day they’re fine again. But I have been really strict with stretching after every ride, using recovery boots that my very nice friend Becky lent me and Kyle’s been giving me a recovery shake protein. So, keeping on top. That’s probably helped. But yeah, I’m not I remember when planning this, I thought, oh, I wonder how what state I’ll be in by the second well the last half rest day. And I’m not as bad as I thought I’d be. So, it’s just the general energy levels I think is the worst bit. I’m just tired. My body actually feels okay. Let’s see if we got a question for you, Kyle. How will Kyle adjust to going back to work? For anyone that doesn’t know, Kyle’s a builder. Just get on with it and get back rest on a little bit of a rest when we get home and then back to work. Yeah. Going to have a week off when we get home, aren’t you? Are you looking forward to laying bricks again? No. Didn’t think you would be. What’s been your favorite French snack so far? We can both do this one. Mine almond class. Easy. I know what yours is. You just said it to me that this I always have it when I come to France. It reminds me when I used to come to France a lot as a kid. This bad boy. Bzon. BS on. It’s like I think you can buy in the UK. Drive. I don’t Do you mind? I don’t actually want it. Right. The box. It’s in the box. You need it though, Conor. Um, yeah. It just reminds me of France as a kid and I just love it with a bit of baguette. I’ve never even heard of it. It’s really nice. Well, you don’t like really cheese, do you? I don’t like cheese. So, do you have any problems with your hands swelling? Actually, no. So before this trip, I’ve had lots of problems with hand swelling. It worked out because I wasn’t having enough electrolytes. So I’ve been having electrolytes in every bottle of water I’ve been drinking. And so far so good on the mount last mountain stage in the Pyrenees. They did swell a little bit cuz I got really hot. You had it a couple of times where I thought swelled slight but nowhere near what it normally is. And so far gone down really quick as well. Yeah. Just making sure. I’ve even had electrolytes in the evenings as well if it’s been a hot day. Have you tried antihistamines for the heat rash? And someone else has asked has the aloe vera works for the heat rash. Well, this is the heat rash currently. I don’t know if you can see it. It’s right down. It’s gone right down my legs, but it has it has gone down now. And someone suggested getting this. No, I mean it’s gone right down is what I’m saying. Yeah, someone suggested getting this by a fin. So, I went to the pharmacy so I’m going to put this on later and hopefully it will help. But yeah, hopefully it won’t be as hot as today. 38° that was a killer. Are there any stages where the parts of the route that you can’t ride? And are you riding the transfers? Yes, I’m riding the transfers and no, so far I’ve been able to ride all of the stages. There’s been one 100%. Yeah. Yeah. No, there’s been one route diversion where I came off the route for like 5 miles because the road was closed. I think there’ve been a car crash, but all the stages I’ve got left. The plan was that a transfer or a stage? Yeah, that was a stage. All the stages I’ve got left, um, the plan is to ride them completely because the roads are okay. You can’t ride it. Yeah, there are a few busy roads, but I’m okay on them. There have been a few roads I probably wouldn’t choose to ride on if I was not riding the tour to France cuz there’ve been lries and things, but the the route that end the stage that ended on the dual carriageway. Laval, I remember that wasn’t nice. Next to the space place in Laval. Yeah. Um finished on the dual carriageway and you rode it on the dual carriageway as the pros would obviously you’ve all seen that stage now and yeah, dual carriageway is obviously shut for them. Yeah, I wouldn’t normally ride dual carriageway but it was literally only for like less than a mile. And it was it was early so it was quieter. Yeah. So it wasn’t too bad. But what happened to the second bike? I have got a second bike with me, my gravel, which is my gravel bike. I wore it on the sec wore it. I rode it on the second stage. So like cuz it was a flat stage. But it’s a sec. It’s a spare bike for if anything goes wrong with my bike and nothing’s gone wrong, touch one and if we need to. Yeah. If there’s any parts that need changing on one bike, then obviously we can swap over. But so I’m just a lot more comfy. I just prefer riding my Dogma. So I’m probably going to ride it all on my Dogma. In fact, I’d go out as far as say that dogma mode is the comfiest you’ve been on a bike. Yeah, it is. I’m so comfy on that because I don’t even think you’re that comfy on you. Like, yeah, I’ve had no injuries, touch wood. I don’t like saying this. I don’t want to jinx it, but I was so worried about saddle saw before this, but I’ve not had that issue. Obviously, I had a rash at the beginning, and it’s not There are moments on the ride I’m like, oh, I’m a bit uncomfy on my bum. That’s normal because of how much I’m doing, but I’m using lots of shammy butter after every ride. Shower straight away. get my kit off of aloe vera on my bum and obviously a saddle that you really E45 cream it’s comfy saddle got a saddle saddle and had a bike fit one thing I always say is that everyone is different so the bike fit is really good for that but getting that perfect match up between shammy and saddle is a complicated thing for everyone cuz it’s so hard to get right so I was looking that way the bike’s just there yeah I was that’s what I was I was looking at the saddle thinking yeah you’ve got a good match up so I’m really happy with that so yeah the the spare like we do still have it. And the plan was as well cuz I was so worried about my hands swelling and my wrists hurting. That’s another thing actually to fair the question about what aches the most. It probably is my wrists. I do get a bit of ache, but I use Tiger Balm. I find that really good on my knees and my wrists every night as well. It stinks, but it’s good. Um, and another reason for the spare bike with the TT bars on was if my wrists become really really sore, then I can go on that, but I haven’t felt the need to do that. So, I think because of the mixture of terrain as well. Yeah. So your hands have naturally changed positions, but and I always stretch when I’m on the back. I always change from like holding it there to holding it there to holding on the I think you should always do that anyway. Yeah. And I do like I do stretches. So I do backwards rolls, forward rolls. I do like putting my elbow back. I do like swinging my arm back. I go like this all the time. Like putting one hand back and going like this and going like this like every every two hours on the bike. I force myself to do that. I first saw started seeing people doing that on Paris Paris. Yeah. And people do it all the time. It’s the first time I’d ever seen it where people are stretching on the bike. Yeah. And cuz you’re going for so long, it’s makes sense. It does really help. I’ve definitely like I’ve not had any issues with my shoulders. And normally I would if I didn’t do that. It’s a good tip. Change position on your bars and try and stretch as much as if you’re going really long. Yeah, it’s a good idea. I think we’ve got on really well actually. We only had a few little tips which is natural. Yeah, I spoke to someone the other day. They said, “Have you argued?” Was that like we’ve had like a few little spats like No, I mean like this. There was a little spat on to because you wanted a wei and you didn’t want to stop cuz you don’t like stopping on a climb. I was going to stop. And I said and I said why don’t you just stop cuz you can catch me up cuz I was going so slow. And you were like no no no. And I was like oh why you said cuz I thought you didn’t want to stop cuz you wanted to have the strawber segment. So I said oh yeah I didn’t actually get an audit at you either. No, I got an order. You just got asked me. So you this bit you weren’t. I said, um, oh, why are you so bothered about this drama segment? Just stop. It wasn’t true. Because we’ve got like over an hour to climb and you can’t hold a we for that long. You get cyitis. So which I didn’t joke about. And then Kyle goes, “Oh, if I wanted to get a straa segment, I’d be going a lot faster than this.” And then I No, I didn’t say that. That’s not what I said. You’ve slightly changed my words there. What he said is, “If I was going for the segment, I wouldn’t be riding like this.” No, you didn’t. You said I’d be going a lot faster than this. And I 100% swear you said that. Yeah. But I didn’t say in a nasty way. What But that came across to me when I was struggling up there. That was not very nice. And that’s probably one of the only real spats we’ve had cuz I just got really angry. I was like, “Oh, just go away.” I think I was just upset cuz you assumed that I wanted a stra segment when they didn’t. Yeah, we both got one because I was just riding with you. But yeah, I still do think you like the strawber segment. I don’t know. But you’ve known me since I’ve started talking. don’t like stopping on climbs. Yeah. But then when we get home, you always check do check your driver segments. I don’t check my straa segments. I check how I feel like I’ve done. Yeah. So I usually my heart rate at the minute. But you do look at your segments. I don’t I don’t I genuinely It annoys me when you say that cuz I actually don’t. Anyway, we’re now this is a second argument. I look at my heart rate data a lot more at the minute. Yeah. No, I I think like to go back to the question, how’s it improved your understanding? I think we already understand each other really well cuz we’ve been together like nearly nine years this year. We’ve done quite a few big things. Married for six six years this year, the end of the year. Um but I think it has brought us a little bit closer cuz obviously I just appreciate everything you’re doing so much. I know I wouldn’t be able to do this without you and I know a lot of like I know that it’s taken a lot of work for you to do this for me and I’m very very grateful. So I know you’re grateful but I don’t I keep saying to you I do tell you that every day. Yeah. I keep saying to you, don’t you? You’ve just got to ride your bike. And if that’s what is happening, it’s all going well, ain’t it? Yeah. But I’m just saying I do really appreciate it. I know you do. And there has been a couple of comments people don’t think she’s appreciated what I’m doing, but I can assure you she does. Yeah. Well, people don’t see the text every morning, do they? Yeah. For one minute, sometimes in a little clip, it might seem like, oh, that was a little bit. a high pressure situation as well. But I’m not going to be like sometimes you might see me and I might come across I’m being mardy or I’m not being not being appreciative. But sometimes I can be because I’m I’m hot and I’m bothered and I’m hungry and I’m cyping for 12 hours a day and sometimes, you know, I’ve been going along the same road for like 40 miles and I’m just really tired. I think I’d be more content if you didn’t have those moments. Yeah. Because it’s And also like if you can’t have a Marty moment in front of your husband, who can you have a Marty moment? without. But I don’t think I’ve been that bad. To be transparent, there’s been plenty of moments where you’ve probably come across as grumpy or Yeah. But there’s been moments where you have as well. Of course there is. But we’re both It’s a challenge. Yeah. It’s not going to be easy. So, you’re going to have moments. We’re squabble and we get over it. We’re not robots. Yeah. But anyway, um that’s all the questions we’ll do because otherwise I’ll be here all day and I’ve got to edit this video now because Kyle is not doing any editing on his birthday tomorrow. He’s going to be 30. No, I’ll edit the video. 30. No, I’m going to edit it now. So you don’t have to do anything tomorrow for your birthday. Cuz tomorrow the only thing you need to do at least be an easy is ride up bond too. Well, it’s not the only thing we have to do, is it? No, because I’m still going to have to keep you pedaling. Yeah, but I’m just trying to be nice and say that’s the only thing you need to worry about tomorrow. Yeah. Anyway, I’m really looking forward to Yeah. So, we’ve got 7 days left after today. No, eight days. No, seven. Friday, Saturday. Yeah, seven after eight after today. Eight days, sorry. left after today to make 29 days in total. Should be finishing in Paris on the 25th of July. I’ve got the hardest stages coming up. After tomorrow, I’ve got a day where it’s not as bad, but then I’ve got two really big tough hilly days. I’ve got the queen stage, not hilly, mountain mountain days. Yeah, don’t don’t make it sound worse. I’ve got the queen stage followed by stage 20, which is the attack stage, which people can do. two mountain days back. There’s a lot of mountains. I think I’ve got at least 5,000 m. That’s the side. You know, you think about that now, but that’s exciting. It’s exciting for the views. It’s not exciting for my life. And these are the stages that Amy would normally be. Yeah, I am. No, I am excited. I am really excited. I’m excited for mom one, too. But yeah, I just know how tired I am. And I know that when I’m tired, my brain gets a bit more negative and the tears start. But let’s hope we can get to the end without crying. I don’t think that’s going to happen. I tell you that’s I just get really emotional when I’m tired. So I think everyone does, but I sometimes feel better after I cry and it’s okay to cry. But I keep saying that you should be Yeah. a massive Well, on that note, I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone that’s donated. And it shows you’re putting the work in. So it’s really appreciated. But I just want to try and keep getting that money up donated to help as many people as we possibly can. That’s why we’re doing it. I’m really happy with that. We’ve raised over 40,000. So thank you so much. and that does keep me going and I hope people would just even if it’s a pound just a little bit of something really appreciate everyone that’s donated already but if you can’t afford it please don’t of course obviously that goes without saying but but yeah I just yeah all the messages all the comments I’m sorry I can’t reply I don’t have time but I am reading them and I really appreciate it and yeah the the support is unreal and it doesn’t really feel real um and yeah I just really really do appreciate it you deserve all the support I’m doing cuz I want to help people and hopefully that’s what we’re doing. So yeah, that’s it really. And we’ll see what happens for the next 8 days, but hopefully it’ll be me rolling to Paris. Some more songs will be made up. I look forward to that. Oh, and do you want to finish up some jokes? We got some jokes to finish. I do have some jokes actually. I did this on the last rest day actually cuz our mates been sending us jokes every day to Although this isn’t a full rest day. No, I don’t know why you put that package on me. But I will get these jokes up cuz I do quite enjoy them dayto-day. Uh, right. Let me just find it out. We can edit this little bit. Right. Just do three. Yeah, go for three. I’ve not heard of these. I did feel bad cuz I’ve not me I’ve had so many messages, so it’s been difficult. But I’ll give you three. So, what has more letters in the alphabet? Pardon? What has more letters in the alphabet? What has more letters in the alphabet? What has more letters in the alphabet? Than the alphabet. Yeah. I don’t really know. The post office. Um, what’s more tired than Amy? Nothing. Yeah, I’m tired. Corpse. I don’t trust those trees. They seem kind of shady. Uh, I wish there was a shady tree for me today to ride under. He’s tried to do them quite relevant actually. Some cycling kit I had brought was picked picking up static electricity. I returned it to the shop and they exchanged it for some kit free of charge. Oh man, I’m doing Where’s he getting these from? Hey, where’s he getting these from? I would love to be paid to sleep. I would. It would be my dream job. But to be fair, I am doing my dream job, but I do need a nap right now. They have been I was just trying to shut. They have been very relevant. Yeah. Anyway, I’m going to go and have a nap cuz I am actually starting to feel really tired and this rest day is not very restful so far. So, thank you so much for watching. TT the FN. Tata for now. Goodbye. Goodbye.

  1. Can’t wait to see you climb Ventoux. I’m doing it on the 28th. Tips much appreciated! Also, how did you discover you could ride such long distances? You make it look easy. Chapeau 👏👏👏

  2. Hi Amy and Kyle. You guys are doing great. Kyle, the dizzyness could be down to slight dehydration. Please remember to drink plenty, and take in electrolytes. Just because you are not riding doesn't mean your body's not feeling the stress. Amy, still big days ahead, remember active recovery – creams, oils, massage, rest and best of all; recovery food. You are smashing it "allez, allez" see you on the next etappe. TTFN.

  3. Is that large cookie you have shown in your hand depicted on your most recent YouTube video picture for today, on the standard Tour De France preferred edibles list? I imagine it is also on the same list as your favored dark chocolate treats occasional enjoyed during your relaxed evening hours after the long days. 🤭 Glad to see you in more relaxed and playful periods while embroiled in the rigors of stressful cycling, ever-changing weather conditions, strict dieting, and physical endurance aspects of your race challenge. You deserve edible rewards for your daily commitment while on your long road to victory. Chocolate Chip is my favorite.

  4. BRILLIANT ! Amy, words fail me TBH. Happy 30th for the 18th Kyle! (it’s my birthday today), great way to spend it cycling up Ventoux! Maybe a beer?! Loving the vids & keep smashing it!

  5. Lightweight, loose, long pants can be well worth the aero disadvantage to keep the sun off your legs. That’s what I do on hot bikepacking days. Aero matters a lot more at higher speeds, but even then, preventing burns and bites might be better in the long run.

  6. Kyle – have you tried the black pepper Boursin? You can get it from Ocado. I hope you have a great Birthday. Well done Amy, you're nearly there.

  7. Hi Amy & Kyle well done to you both and Amy as a cyclist myself it is unbelievable what you have achieved so far i just cant comprehend what you are doing you are absolute fantastic and so inspiring well done to you.

  8. Bravo keep going!! just amazing… the atmosphere here in La Plagne is building.. you are going to love it, hundreds of cyclists here already for L'Etape… good luck up La Loze, its a touch one…but beaitfull..

  9. Chapeau Amy ! Your videos do not give justice to the climbs you’re doing. I see you calling it a bit of a leg burner and then when I see the TdF coverage and the pros are struggling I appreciate just what you are climbing! Amazing.

  10. Good day on the bike and great Q and A. Happy to hear there will be more songs. Maybe a Greatest Hits album after the ride?
Finally, the jokes seem to be getting better!

  11. You two are a such a brilliant team! Also I belatedly have just started listening to your podcast- did 3 on the trot today and I highly recommend them to anyone who hasn't given them a go yet . They really put on smile on my face👍

  12. Happy birthday Kyle doing a good job matey and Allez Allez Allez Amy your doing awesome been watching you both for a while now and you are the reason I bought my race bike called Vanessa as she is a felt ar5 so keep up the gd work guys nearly finished

  13. Hope you’ve had a brilliant birthday Kyle. When you’re back could you post all the jokes you’ve been sent whilst you’ve been away. From what you’ve shared they’re awesome! Huge chapeau to you both on this trip ❤

  14. So good watching all the videos. Unbelievable effort from you both. I love Kyle's love of a sausage roll. I love a good sausage roll also. If you ever happened to tour Australia, most of the bakeries here make their own sausage rolls, especially in the country towns, and they're delicious. Kyle would be in sausage roll heaven.

  15. To your future-selves, congratulations on Mont Ventoux, i can't wait to see it, everyday i'm loving those small french towns and cities, And Kyle, welcome to your 30's it's all downhill from here I'm afraid … I'm sure you'll make the most of it, becasue it certainly looks like you are. 😄😄

  16. The energy at RIDICULOUS O’Clock each day is seriously contagious.
Love that Kyle can locate a Sausage Roll, top man!!!
It’ll likely blow you kids minds but back in the day at The Hacienda 91/92 at the height of the AcjdHouse/Rave boom we used to massage each other with Tiger Balm in the clubs….. (the ecstasy was on point in those times and they were seriously BETTER DAYS, you had to be there).
On the Q n A, you do have mardy moments, Kyle has slightly “short” moments and THIS IS LIFE, it’s certainly MARRIED LIFE and you guys have undertaken a monumental adventure and so it’s to be expected. There are tears, there are emotions, of course there are, you’re exhausting yourself daily at a level 95% will NEVER comprehend……. And what’s more, you’re honest enough to include it ALL in the edits.
Cracking couple, an example to all of us….. don’t let any negative comments sink in, you’re doing phenomenally well. 🙏✊🙏
