Here is the Strava route gpx of Helvellyn if you’d like to bike/emtb this route:

This route is fully bikeable, no dodgy ridges to contend with, no hike-a-bike… even factors in the burger van at the campsite at the start 🙂

Helvellyn’s the 3rd highest hill in England, and I believe it’s the highest point you can cycle in the country.

[Music] [Music] World is turning. Weeds of morning patient smoking in the for looping foil. Lighting breath that starts to boil. Heading to the ending somewhere quiet. So quiet. [Music] Scar of hedro cut of granite [Music] bush of leaves and something in it. [Music] Take the mountain. Take the fences. [Music] Take them in a crowd of fences. [Music] Coast of miles, heavy forces ending in a world of heavy choices. [Music] It’s their life. It’s breaking all the time. Take your magazine and simmer. Let them roll again. Whoa. [Music] [Music] Scar of hedro. Could have ground it. Brush of leaves and something in it. [Music] Shaking up the cat, breaking up the land, lying on a journey for a song. Isolation drifting on a river nation. Moving things and moving things and moving things again. It’s their life. It’s breaking all the time. Take your magazine and cinema. Let them roll again. Wo. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat [Music] up here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Oh, this Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat up [Applause] here. Heat up here. Heat up here. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Laughter] Stop. [Music] [Applause] [Music] With your feet on the air, your head on the ground. [Music] Try this trick and spin. Yeah, you know the lights and there’s nothing in it. And you’ll ask yourself, where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? [Music] Hey out in the water swimming [Music] around [Music] [Music] where Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] We [Applause] [Music] try and spin it. Yeah. your collapse if there’s nothing in it. And you’ll ask yourself, where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Heat up here. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I’ve got a secret I cannot say. Blame a movement to give it away. You’ve got something that I understand. Hold it in tightly. command. Leap of faith. Do you doubt? Cut you in. I just cut you out. Look for reflections in your face. Can I devotion time erase out on the corner but locked in your room? I never believe them. I never assume stuck in belief. There is a lie. Promises. Promise. Not for a lie. We’ve got something to reveal. No one can know. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat up [Music] here. Heat up here. Heat up [Applause] here. Heat up here. Heat up here. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Get that. The weather absolutely made it. 28°. It was almost too nice. Absolutely roasting. But yeah, I’ll put the uh I’ll put a link to the route in the description. But yeah, basically if you start off at is it Glenn Ridding? Glenn Ridding. I think it’s Glenn Ridding. Uh follow the signs for the youth hostel. Uh and basically h just sort of head up past the quarry up there. Um absolutely stunning. And then as we came back, take the left and it’ll take you down Sticks Pass, which was good. Um yeah, absolutely really really good. So I think that was uh yeah about 3 and a half,000 ft of climbing. Um we were going to do um Dolly Maiden Pike this morning, but just with the heat we saw one guy carrying his bike up and it just um yeah, it looked like proper bike over the shoulders hiker bike and I think just in 28° we’re like n for an ebike. But this if you got an ebike you can basically bike all the way up and all the way down. Um and it’s yeah brilliant brilliant brilliant brilliant really good. So, uh yeah, cracking.

  1. Fab video great route, last 200m to summit not rideable up but is down. Been a while since I’ve done it, coming back via the Dodds is a great alternative route

  2. Love the Helvellyn ride. Some good additions to that route also called angle tarn…got a video on it on my channel! The lakes is great 👍
