Hi everyone, I have a Specialized Amira 51 with Ultegra 6800/r888 components, Superteam 50mm wheels that I bought from a friend (he put the roval decals lol), currently at 8.2kg and still has aluminum handlebars and heavier bits, but I was planning on to slowly upgrading the cockpit, also maybe electronic shifting and such.
I was just offered a $2500 chinese bike with hydraulic disc brakes, and although it has way more carbon bits than mine, my gut tells me the bike would be closer to 9 kilos. Drivetrain appears to be Sensah Phi 2×10 (I believe it's the old shimano 10 speed cable pull ratio, so it would work with a 5700 and 6700 Rear Derailleur)
If I were to sell my Amira I would be selling it for around $1100 (a bit more expensive than you can find in the US/Europe because road bikes are a bit rare in South America, most people buy high end mountain bikes), so I would have to shell out an extra $1400, is it worth it? I don't really mind rim brakes, I've been using them for ever and I live in a relatively flat area, barely ride in the rain and take relatively good care of the bike. But I train a lot with it, and I don't have training wheels cur
