Sounds like something is rubbing against your brake rotors. Might want to check to make sure the calipers are lined up, also check to make sure your wheels are on correctly, sometimes they can be slightly misaligned which will cause rubbing as well.

It sounds like your brakes are rubbing. Once you’re back from your ride, look at your brake caliper and slowly rotate the wheel, checking for contact between the disc and pads. It should be perfectly safe to ride on until you’re able to check it out btw.

Loosen the caliper bolts, hold brake on and then do the bolts back up,
This will align the calipers,
Check the disc rotor bolts in the centre, they could be loose and making discs off centre,
Check condition of pads make sure they not worn,
All of these are the cheap / free options
Hopefully it’s something simple

Rotor hitting caliper or the edge of the brake pad retainer clip hitting rotor.
Edit….especially common when wheeels are attached w those 5mm QR skewers that i believe the marlin has both ft and rear

Give the spokes a squeeze, eliminate loose spokes first
