October 2024 the journey of a lifetime. This video has been a long time in the making – very grateful to all those who have had an input. I met so many wonderful people on this ride whose conversations made the experience one I’ll never forget. Much of the stand out moments to me happens when the camera was turned off. The final days in England before tackling the Scottish stage was mentally the most challenging. The hills in Devon and Cornwall ruined me. At this point I hadn’t found my feet or figured out my routine. I was still learning how to put my tent up and the navigation was confusing. October is not the best time to tackle this route due to shorter days and more temperamental weather. It certainly added to the adventure. Despite less than ideal conditions – the rain in Devon and cold nights in Scotland; I wouldn’t have wished for anything different. I watched Summer give way to Autumn as I rode further north. I’m sure someone more poetically inclined could draw a comparison between the seasons changing and my own growth and change over the two weeks I was cycling.
I hope you enjoy the video from the comfort of your sofa with a warm cup of tea!
A gentle reminder from me to you this morning/evening/wherever this video has found you to: get outside. Spend a pinch of time present in nature whether that’s in your garden, a park, up a mountain or your commute to work. Look up at a tree, take a break from your screen and remember there’s a big cool beautiful world out there.

What a beautiful day to be alive. I hope it’s a nice surprise. It’s a really nice. That was so much fun. That might be the best thing I’ve ever eat. I’m hoping that I don’t drown. Yeah, I am. My gloves are somewhere deep in the depths of my bag. [Music] Hello everybody. So we are in Cornwall right now. I’m in a car park in Seno. So I’ve just set the bike up cuz I’m going to do some filming. I’m going to film a Guys, I’m going to cycle 1,700 km video for Instagram. The sun is setting. Me and mom are going to go get some water. Mom’s over here. [Laughter] Sorry. Should I try to be a bit cooler? You’re very cool, Mom. So, the weather forecast next few days is rain, but this evening is really, really nice. So, me and mom have decided to come down to the beach and hopefully we should get some pizza. It says that there’s pizza over here. I’ve been car loading all day. I’m going to get pizza in, prepping myself. I’m ready. Pizza is closed unfortunately. So no pizza. Heartbroken. [Music] Absolutely demolished dinner. Good morning everybody. It’s the day of the start. I just got changed into some running stuff. I’m going to do like a couple of KS just up and down the beach front. And then me and mom are going to go on a little sea swim. We’re going to have a shower, have some breakfast. Breakfast only opens at 8:00, so we wanted to get up and do some things before that. And then we’re going to have some breakfast and then we’re going to get going because I’ve got 100k to do today. Finished my little jog. I’ve done 2k and I can see mom now. Going to go have a sea swim. It was really nice running as the sun was rising. Oh, I’m so grateful. This is so cool. [Music] Oh my god, we are absolutely pounded by the waves. That was so much fun. Should I get the vegan? Are you ready to go? Yeah. We’ve got some stir bars, which is going to go in the top there. I’ll put one in my front box. Electrolytes and some emergency carb drink. A couple more things to put in my bags. Hairbrush, moisturizer, garment for navigation. Put that in my front box. Spare watch. Got my watch. I’m doing all of the tracking on my gar and packed and ready to go. Right, let’s go to L’s end. Made it to Land. Took some pictures in for another time and now it’s time to leave. Hello. Kind of terrified. You will be fine. You’ve got this. Okay. Well, I’m leaving. I’m 36k in and my saddle just started wobbling. I don’t know if you can see this, but it’s like moving up and down and it was on a really hard hill. So, I’m going to have to try and fix it now. Uh, which is not ideal. I’m still having fun. It’s just raining, which isn’t ideal. Still moving. That’s better. I’ve had some snacks. I’m going to try and push on until the next town, which is about 20k away now, and hopefully find a pasti or just some lunch there. I feel like I’m going to be in the rain for the next few hours, so we’ll see. Feel like I’ve just realized how hard this is going to be. I got a spiced Oh my god, it’s so cauliflower spicy. I don’t know. Fantastic. That might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The um the bite in the room. This is what Look at this. [Music] What a day. It’s going to taste. [Music] I’m not sure what I should do now. I just put on my pickle ball. I miss traveling, but I think I’ve still got like 50k until Wbridge and it’s like 6 p.m. now torrential rain. So, I might stop off earlier. I don’t know. I’m going to keep going for a bit. [Music] It’s so unbelievably flooded. Everyone’s having to turn around. I’m going to try and find a hotel around here because I literally can’t get any further on the bike and I think all the campsites will be funded as well. I am now in a cute little B&B in Truro. I’m just drying all of my things. My gloves are down there. I’m gonna shower, have some coffee, dry my things, and then plan what the hell I’m going to do tomorrow cuz I’ve got like 40 extra kilometers to do. But I did manage to score another 1.75 pasti from the bakery because it was like closing. So, I’m going to shower, have my pasti, get into bed, and get warm cuz I’m [ __ ] freezing. Good morning, guys. Oh, my socks are dry. I didn’t sleep very well at all. I remember checking my watch at at 3, half 3, half 4, 5, 20, 21 minutes past 5, 22 minutes past 5. Really not ideal. I’m really really glad that Oh, my gloves are dry. Are they dry? Yeah, mostly dry. Go get some breakfast and then I’m going to get going. It’s 7:00 a.m. at the moment. I’ve had some really nice encouraging messages and that’s like given me a lot of like I can I can do this energy. We’re going to at least make it to be today. That’s my goal. So be is like 105k from here. I won’t be making up any distance that I lost yesterday. But if I can do it, if I can get there, I’m going to be really, really happy. Let’s get chill. [Music] Right, day two. Let’s get going. Right. So, I have been cycling for 20 minutes. Literally two seconds into me starting, it started raining. My bungee also pinged off like in that first 30 seconds. It was intense. Waybridge is about 50k away. And that’s like just shy of halfway. I want to get to Wbridge and then I can get some lunch there cuz I want to get over halfway before I have lunch. It’s so much easier waking up earlier cuz I feel like I still have a lot of the day to go. It gets dark around 67. I’m hoping I can like be past. Well, I’m hoping to get to be before it gets dark. That’s like 110k. Thumbs up. We can do this. I’m going to ate a whole avocado. And now I’m just sprouting some cucumber. Did a bit of a food shop. I’m going to go through Wade Bridge. I might get some more food there. Really good though. 50k to view. I’m halfway. It just started raining again. [Music] 82.34 km in. I’ve been going for like nine hours now. In a good shift. We’ve still got like at least 20k to go till we get to be. But I’m feeling optimistic of the day. Like I’m pleased with how it’s gone. We’ve already gone further than we went yesterday. So, let’s keep going. [Music] [Music] I’m in the counter toilet now. It’s quart to 7. Still dark outside. Uh, I slept all right last night. I woke up about 5 and then didn’t really sleep much after that. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] So beautiful. [Music] [Music] [Music] What’s up? [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Good morning. This is where I showered last night. Basically, my alarm always goes off at 7:00, but this trip I’ve been going at I’ve been wake up at 6:00. My alarm didn’t go off, so I woke up at 10 to 7, which is really frustrating. Um, but we can’t do anything about that now. Yeah, it’s 7 now and I’m going to pack up the tent and leave basically. I’m going to have some snacks on the go and then I’m going to make breakfast in about an hour. Went into a really cute farm shop, got a coffee, managed to buy like a little pot of oats, so I didn’t need to get all of my stuff out. And they gave me some hot water for it. I also bought a giant flatjack, which is vegan, surprisingly. It’s like 11:00 a.m. I’ve done 26k. Isn’t bad. I’m sorry. Got a late start. My knee is bothering me a bit. So, I’ve been trying to stretch it while I was in there. I know finishing the day and then just crashing into bed straight away is not the best thing, but when you’re that tired, it’s hard to do much more than like shower and then get your bed and tent out and everything. But tonight, I vow to stretch the fly just on my face. It’s so so pretty here. I mapped the route last night and I decided to go along the canal rather than along roads for a bit of today. Um, just a change of scenery and it’s nice. I mean, it’s a bit slower to cycle on because the surface is not quite so good, but I’m enjoying it. It’s beautiful. I’ve just got to a giant puddle. I’m hoping that I don’t drown. Fingers crossed. We have stepped up an absolute storm here, guys. rice and baked beans. Taste test. Why is that so [ __ ] good today? We’ve also got some electrolytes, hydration. Yay. Today was actually a really good day. I cycled 100k, which was really exciting. A lot of it was on main roads, which a lot of it was on main roads, which isn’t ideal, but I actually quite enjoyed it today. There wasn’t as much navigation. and it wasn’t as confusing. I could kind of just switch off and go along these roads and the turnings were obvious. Still a lot of hills and with a bike loaded this heavily, it is really difficult. So yeah, tomorrow morning the goal is to set off early and do another 100k stint. We will see. I never know how the day is going to go until I have finished it. Feeling really grateful. It was a really nice day. Um the sun was shining for a not a lot of it, but for some of it. ate a really nice falafel wrap, had some really nice porridge, had an amazing flapjack, and the woman in the premier in gave me a ground floor room. She like upgraded me into a ground floor room. So I can have my bike in here with me, which is great because it means that in the morning I can pack all my stuff, pack it onto the bike, and then go out and get going straight away rather than having to like ask for them to open like another room and load my bike up there and stuff, which is much more difficult. I can get going easier. I’m going to have my rice and beans and then get into bed. And the next time you see me, it’ll probably be morning. So see you in the morning for me. But for you that would be like 10 seconds. 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. Good morning. It is half six. Last night I rinsed my shorts out. So I’ve just been drying them with a haird dryer for the last 15 minutes. And it’s kind of worked, but I feel like I’m still going to have a damp bum. I’m making some porridge at the moment. And now having a little bit of coffee. I’m just packing up all my stuff basically. I bought this porridge stuff from Morrison’s. It’s like it’s from Lynwoods energy overnight oats. It’s basically got oats, chia seeds, and quinoa sprouts. So, it’s like higher in protein and just so ideal if you’re like camping and stuff. So, I’m having that. Um, I’ve got two portions left, but I’ll probably buy another packet. Hopefully, I can find another packet on this journey. Okay, currently sat outside a waitress. I bought a load of food. I got some rolls for lunch, which I’m going to have with hummus. Um, couple of naked bars. These are my favorite ones. I got a chocolate bar, some bananas, and then I got two packets of these Cajun style lentils and bread. They’re really good. They’re just like a good emergency dinner option. And then I got some reduced mango, which I’m eating with roasted salted cashes and peanuts, which I got like when I did that Morrison shot. It’s really nice weather today. Blue skies and sunshine, but it’s so cold. My toes are frozen off. We’ve done 27.59 km. Um, and it’s moved so easy. I’ve done that in like 2 hours. So, I’m chilling. Hopefully, the next few hours will also be easy. I’m in a field. I’ve got a meeting. So, I’m going to sit in this field, try and find a patch of grass that isn’t boggy because it’s very wet. And I’m going to have a meeting and then we’re going to keep going. I am, let’s have a look. 55.55 km in. I’m [ __ ] thriving. Liveling this. Look how pretty. I should be going across the river 7 soon, which is very exciting. And then we’re going to be in Wales. Okay guys, we are 82 km in today. We’re currently crossing the river 7. We’re going into Wales. This is so cool. What a beautiful day to be alive. Wow. Insane. I’m not feeling 100%. I got some water, a ginger shot, and an apple and elder. Fake bit here. The foreigners call us mad Brits, don’t they? Yeah. And there’s probably a reason why. There’s definitely a reason why. Yeah. Well, good luck. Thank you so much. Be careful. I will. It’s lovely to meet you. That guy was super nice. He started speaking to me in the queue for the checkout and I he just made a comment and then about me being in the Bellaton. Then we had a little giggle. Then he was asking me what I was doing and I was explaining and he said, “You just never know who you’re going to speak to every day, do you?” And it’s so true. Like when you put yourself out there and you actually like talk to people and engage with the world around you, you never know how your day is going to end or who you’re going to meet. And it’s great. I’ve had some like some lovely conversations with people. And to be honest, it’s mostly been like older men and women. I feel like people my age are too scared of the repercussions of talking to strangers in case they get rejected or whatever. And it’s so stupid. Like we need to engage more with other people. We need to talk cuz it’s fun. You meet people. Okay. Next nearest campsite is 16 airway. It’s an hour until sunset. I reckon we can make it. Good morning. I’ve just made some porridge. The sun is rising at the moment. The plan today is to get a train to Manchester so I can run the whole bar at tomorrow morning. Don’t know why I do this to myself. I’m going to eat my porridge, have my coffee, and I’m going to put some banana, some peanut butter, and some jam in it when I find my jam. I’m finding it really hard to like get moving and grooving this morning. Oh, I think mentally because I know that I’ve only got only got 50k to do today. I’m like, “Oh, I can chill. I can take my time, but I need to do that 50k by like midday. Why is everything just overwhelming? I’m overwhelmed, over stimulated, underpaid, single mom who works two jobs, [ __ ] loves kids, and never stop.” Can you tell that there’s not much going on here this morning? I haven’t filmed a lot when I’m like tired or stressed or like needing to get somewhere quickly. Filming slows you down a lot. People can say what they want about content, people. But on top of actually cycling the length of the UK and doing 100k a day. Every evening I spend like three hours and a half hours editing. Every morning I spend like an hour on social media. It’s [ __ ] draining. So me and mom have for about 3 months now have had planned a um trip to Snowonia um to celebrate mom finishing her job. Um so just like 4 days off walking. Um, and it just so happens that it’s perfectly timed with Francesca cycling up through Wales. Um, so we’re currently driving to Ross on Y. Um, and we’ve been tracking Francis all morning. She had a later start this morning. Um, she’s a bit bit slow going, a bit tired. I think sort of cumitive sort of tiredness creeping up on her and it was raining a little bit. So sort of was lacking in the motivation to get going this morning. Yeah. So, we were we were on FaceTime with her and when we were at home um just chatting. She has no idea that we’re planning this. Secret mission. Side quest. Oh, yes. Side quest. Um yeah, we’re like 10 minutes away from Ross and Y. I think she’s past Ross and Y, but we’re going to pick up Usle Coffees and then we’re going to go try find her. Um we’ve got a little care package of of things. So Gabrielle has brought the bike maintenance kit just to see if anything needs a bit of oiling on the bike, etc. Yes, I’ve got my over shoes and my toe covers from cycling. Uh cuz keep a little tootsies on there. Um cuz it’s got really cold all of a sudden. I think today is a little bit warmer, but yesterday was really chilly. Yeah. She’s had some wet feet. She’s had some very wet feet. We also got some um red bush tea bags. Bit of a you know staple. Then um some fruit. She loves an apple. Our noose does. We got one of them. Um Oh, flapjack from grandma. Yeah, grandma’s homemade flatjack. Yeah, cuz I think we just ate she probably had like what 15 slices within the space of a day and a half. Yeah, Cornwall did eat. Cornwall was a big flatjack eating session. Um yeah. So just just a few little bits to keep her going and then she’s off on her off on her train up to Manchester is the plan. So yeah. Yeah. So hopefully see you soon. So we have a bit of a care package. WD40. That’s obviously for the bike, not Francesca. Grandma special flapjacks. Some fruit. Forest and almonds. Oh, they’re gone on the floor. Skinny in case that need is needed. [Music] Is that a mad woman going to L’s endor roads car park on your left? I hope it’s a nice surprise. It’s a really nice surprise. That was just the hardest bit of the whole day. The whole bit so far. More than 30% more than that. Why was it? Cuz it was very long. Don’t know. It was just all the [ __ ] I just didn’t sleep well last night and then this morning just suck. I know. Well, you can have both. We’ve got a blackberry crumble or a chocolate brownie. Both vegan. We’ve got the track pump in the back if you want me to pump the wheels up a bit. Um, yeah, maybe. Keep your toes warm. You can wear these on the toe warmers. Oh my. And then put these on top as well. Thank you. I love you guys. I can’t believe you’re here. I’m like really really quite baffled. Yeah, Ruby’s stalking you, hoping you haven’t checked where we are on find your iPhone. Don’t bloody have time for that. I was trying to get a train, but it just it’s going to it’s just going to get the laser the laser one. They’re like every hour. Nice watch. So, I am eating baked heart slice wearing mom’s coat in the car. Gabrielle is repairing my bike for me. Gabelle, what you doing? I’m replacing your rear brake blocks. cuz they’re quite worn out. Be all those hills you’ve gone down with very very heavy load. You’re having a good day, Mom. Yeah, really nice day. It was uh we’ve been very excited. It’s like sort of, you know, tracking you down. It’s like hunted. No, we are having a good day. We’ve both been looking forward to seeing you. You can hunt me down anytime with cake. Hang you down with grandma’s flat jack. Grandma’s flat jack. So, I made it to the train to go to Manchester and Gabrielle was helping me with my stuff to get on the train and she forgot to get off the train. This honestly this last like 2 hours have been the biggest roller coaster of my life. I was like balling my eyes up going that up that hill going really going through something and then I see you guys waving at the side of the road and then we’re having a really nice time and now she’s on the train with me. Yeah, sure. Like [Applause] sick luxury. Thank you so much for letting me say that’s sick. I never think about flying. You’re so welcome. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I actually had a really good night’s sleep last night. Not many hours, but we’re ready. We ran a half marathon today. My mom surprised me yesterday. She got me like a mini Wild deodorant. It’s like um like a lip balm size. Ooh, that smells incredible. Thanks, Mom, for looking out for me. Let’s get this bread. Hey guys, you’re on phone count for the rest of the day. Apologies for the quality. We missed one tram, but we might be able to get another tram. If not, I’m happy walking. I was just saying I’m so gassed about walking not in cleats and knee pain is basically gone. So, it’s going to be a great day. We got the tram. It’s cold. So, so cold. I bought my grandma’s punch. Thank you as they cross the finish line and complete the Manchester [Music] saw these earlier. Well done to you. Keep running. We did it, guys. Yeah, I ran a half marathon. That’s actually quite heavy. That’s a good one. It is quite a good one. The purple and yellow is rogue. But well, that’s those are the Manchester colors. Purple and yellow. Yeah. I thought they were like red. Oh, no. That’s just Man, isn’t Man United red? Manu is red. Man City is blue, which is probably why they can’t do either of those colors. Neutral. I’m thinking of Well, blue and red is purple. True. Uni of Manchester is purple and yellow. Is it? Yeah. I forgot to put vinegar in this vinegar in your water. It’s good for your digestion. Does it taste good? I actually like it now. Can I try a bit? Yeah. Sorry vinegar. It’s a bit rogue at first. I kind of like it. I don’t hate it, but it kind of tastes like gone off apple juice. This is such a rogue post. Just a weird thing to eat post a half marath. [Music] Yeah, I wasn’t really thinking in the in the shop. It’s nice though. I always like panic pick wrong. I never panic pick right. I know what you mean. Is he here? I am packing myself up and then we’re going to go back to Heraford and found a premier in tonight and the campsite was £25. Premier was £31. So6 for a little bit of joy. Abso [ __ ] yes, please. I’ve shed this whole bag. It’s heavy. That’s like a couple days. That bag is going to be posted up to Glasgow to my friend in Glasgow. So, my good friend in Glasgow, my sorry I made that so awkward. So, hopefully the cycle up there is going to be so much easier. And I don’t think I’m going to need anything from it for the rest of the trip, but in case I did, I can collect it in Glasgow. I’m so unbelievably tired. I’m in the premier in well not the premier room in I’m in a premier room in the premier in that I was going to stay in. Um I turned up and literally half 20 minutes before 15 minutes before when I was on the train they had rooms. They had like standard rooms and they had upgradeable rooms. And then I got there and she said we don’t have any rooms available. The train journey was the absolute train journey from hell. And then I got here and didn’t have a hotel room. But I’m in a premier room in now. I didn’t can’t lie. When the woman said that there was no no room left at the end, I almost asked for a statement on a manger. She sent me 8 minutes up the road to another premier room in um where I’m at now. I asked the woman at the front desk if I could have a ground floor room so I can have my bike in and she said yes, of course. And she was lovely. I had a wonderful time in Manchester. That was really special. So, I was running and I got to like 11K and my knee and my hip were really, really sore. I said to myself, get to 16K and then all you’ve got to do left is a park run. And up came behind me Ree and the girls. And then we ran past the Eat the Frog tent and the vibes are amazing. And he said, “Just stick with me and we’ll get that sub, too.” I think my average pace was like 525 or something the whole way. I need to have a look at it. Let’s have a look. Yeah, my average pace was 524. I was originally going for like a 505 510 pace, but obviously I’ve been cycling all week, so I’m pretty knackered. What a like what a day. So proud of myself. So I’m so glad I went. Now, I think I’m gonna have the best night’s sleep of my entire life so that then I can get up tomorrow and have a big day of cycling. I ordered wagons, guys. I’m going to go pick it up now. Come with me. Enjoy. Thank you. Thank you so much. Sorry. I really randomly, you know, like at the end of a delivery when they’re like, “Add this, add this, add this.” I added kimchi. Let’s try that first. Super nice. I used to get the kids mini chicken ramen when I was a child. This is just the most comforting food thing ever. Wow. That’s like, you know, when something’s really bland and it’s just so good. Wow. And it’s got like tofu in it and carrot and sweet corn. Wow. What’s in this one? That is the tiniest portion of pad thai ever. What? There’s nothing in there. [Music] Hello. One sec. Let me just finish my taste test for YouTubes. That’s the star of the show. I’m going to go eat this. Goodbye. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Had a good sleep last night, but body is pretty pretty not good. camp for today is basically cycle until I don’t want to cycle anymore. I’m not going to put a crazy amount of pressure on my distance much wenlock which is my next sort of the next town that would make sense in my route is 85 km away. Um I’ll be very impressed if I make it 85 km. All I need to do today is remember that big bag I showed you of all the stuff that I don’t need to take with me. Hopefully post all those things up to Scotland and then I’ll be lighter and then I’ll get on my merry little way. I got a lot of packing up to do. Going make myself a little porridge now. It is 3 minutes 11. I’m just leaving now. I’m going to cycle 5K to the post office and I’m going to see how I feel then. I’m annoyed because I just put all of my stuff on and now I need a wee. But also if I don’t we then I’m going to have to wee on the side of the road. So, and then I think I’m just going to spend the journey listening to a podcast chilling my brain out. See you at the post office. I just got to the post office and I’m going to have a call with my manager now and then I’m going to post the bottle. [Music] Oh, it’s cold. my breath. I’m just making my dinner. It’s kidney beans and chili sauce. It’s literally just kidney beans and a bit of tin tomatoes and some spices. And I’m having that with some quinoa and rice. See, I will scrape my pans. Like, I will scrape it clean. Seems excessive. Like, I’ve got enough food there. But it makes cleaning up the saucepan so much easier. I did forget my sponge at the hotel, which is really annoying, but it will be easier to clean that now that it’s kind of clean than if I hadn’t scraped it to death. This is my dinner. Can you see that? I don’t want to tip it. Do you see that? Should we do a taste test? Nice warm, yummy food. Exactly what I needed. Going to eat it now. [Music] put two electrolytes in. That’s really strong. So, eating an avocado while I cook my dinner. I’m having beans on the top and rice and quinoa. I’ve just eaten a whole packet of mini cucumbers. I’ve got a weird obsession with mini cucumbers. Not a weird obsession, a great obsession. And little tomatoes. baby versions of all the food. So, I’ve got a bit of a thing for right now today. Cycled 90 kilometers. Set up the tent. Cute little campsite. I haven’t seen the guy who owns the campsite yet. I need to call him and let him know that I’m here. Had a shower. I’m feeling clean. Feeling pretty tired. Mom and Gabrielle were driving back from Snowonia today because they went hiking and they met up with me and we had lunch together and then I did a big Morrison shop. So although I didn’t hit 100k, I had a very productive day. And that was leaving at like half 9, 10 9. I just love eating avocados just as they are. So good. See what my rice is doing. Rice is kind of rising. It’s good. I always do this just to eat it while it’s not actually cooked. Oopsie. We’ve got Branson beans today. Hot take. Branson beans are better than Hines. Not as good as Waitro’s Duchy original. They are the best baked beans ever. And there was an article in the Times that put Waitro Dutchy Originals as the best baked beans on the planet. like they rank them all. I’m just saying guys, I’ve been saying this for years. Make sure you start to your original. If you don’t go, get to know organic beans. They’re cheaper to buy than hinds. They’re better than hinds. So, yeah, just going to chill. Got a bit of editing to do. Um, got to set my roll up and then that’s me. Just chilling, making some food. And then I’m going to go to bed. Might call my mom, might phone call my loved ones, my friends. Who knows? The world is my oyster. This evening is my oyster. Fun. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I am just making some breakfast. I’m going to have oats, peanut butter, banana, you know, usual suspects. And I’m going to try and get changed while that’s cooking. My phone is on charge. I’ve managed to charge both my portable chargers up fully, which is awesome. And I’m going to try and have a big day today. I’m staying in a hotel tonight. Basically, it’s like around Manchester Bolton area and there are just zero campsites there. So staying in a hotel, which means up at him, do a big day and then just crash out in the hotel and if I get there in the dark, it’s not the end of the world. It’s been raining on and off all morning, so I want to get changed so I can try and hopefully put the tent down in the dry, she says, as it starts to rain. I’m hoping it’s going to hold up. I am 21.7K in 1 hour and 32 minutes. That’s pretty good. Um, it’s been very flat. I’m hiding under a tree. That’s the tree. And it’s been raining all morning and it’s going to rain all day. I’m having a naked protein bar. Cocoa hazelnut. Love these. Naked bars are like I’d choose them over any other bar. They’re the best. I think these ones in particular are my favorite. I prefer the like protein ones, the ones with more nuts in than You know what? No, I love all of them. I’ve got a baked tart one for later. Already excited about it. Absolute steal in Morrison’s. The packets of three of these were scanning for £1.15 and the packets of four of the like bake hotart ones were scanning for 45p. I think like little Aldi do a like copy of them and they are good but not as good as the OG. For the past few days, I’ve wanted to film, but it’s been too wet to film. Like, I don’t want to get my camera wet. I’m still having a good time, though. I’m listening to Cassia Turns podcast at the moment, which is really good. Highly recommend. Is up, guys. I’m in. I made it to the Premier Inn. Oh, I just had the best shower of my entire life. I’ve just been snacking since I got back. So, I need to make some dinner. I had yogurt. I had a whole packet of mini cucumbers. I had some plums. Oh, it’s been good. But I’m going to make Thai green curry. I cycled 111 km today. 111 km. I’m a beast. I’m going to make some curry. I’m going to get dressed as well. So, I’m not naked cuz I don’t want to be naked on the internet. Oh, I’m so warm and cozy. Actually, the room’s really cold. So, I’ve been trying to like up the heater. My plan, big bed for sleeping, obviously, but mini single bed so I can sit in it and eat my dinner in bed and then I can be in another bed to sleep. Welcome to the bathroom, guys. Today, we’re going to make Thai green curry. Step one, fry your meat until sealed. Then add the pre add the paste. My meat is a two-day old block of plant menu organic smoked tofu. I’ve put some socks on because you’re not allowed to see my feet, guys. Hope and pray that nothing bad happens. So, you might be thinking, Frankie, why are you ripping up the lazy stop? Well, it tastes better when it’s ripped up. It gets crispier. Step two, add the paste. That’s blurry. This is going well, guys. The restaurant downstairs literally has Thai green curry on the menu. It probably cost me the same amount to make it myself. No, I didn’t. It was like £12.95. I checked and it didn’t have tofu in. And how else am I going to get so strong that you can see my muscles from space? Let’s go for step three. Already pour in the coconut milk. Stir gently until the paste dissolves. Guys, I’m actually I’m actually crushing this. Add the dry ingredients, some vegetables, and simmer for 10 minutes. Great for 10 minutes. We’re going to put this to the side with a lid on so it keeps cooking and then we’re going to put the rice on. Put this on for a little bit longer. Guys, look at this. Unreal. I can eat it all now. Good morning, guys. We are seriously behind schedule. It’s like half eight. I’ll have less breaks today. We’ve got 110k and about 500 m elevation on the cards. I worked out yesterday. I’m so much quicker when I’m not on the phone or listening to music or listening to a podcast or actually haven’t tried listening to music, but when I’m not listening to a podcast, I’m so much faster. So, I’m going to try and bash out like the first 50k. with no podcast and then do like 20k podcast and then lunch. That’s my thoughts. Yeah, I hung my tent up last night so it’s all dry. I cleaned out my transa forgotten every single day to put like waterproof shoe covers on. We’re going to do that today. We’re pretty much packed up. I’m having my third pot of porridge. See you on the bike. I made it to Scotland. [Applause] [Applause] Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I just did my first wild camp of the whole trip. I am just like 20 km on from Perth. Oh, that’s a peg. Two pegs for my tent. Oh, there’s one over there. Three pegs for my tent. Um, yeah, I’m just 20 km outside of Perth. I haven’t really filmed much the last three days. I made it to Scotland. I am in Scotland at the moment. I stayed in Gretner Green for a night. The next day I cycled my furthest cycle ever my entire life ever, ever, ever from Gretner Green to just outside of Glasville, which is a big shift. And then that pretty much wiped me out. And then the day after was these like insane storms, 50 mph winds or like 80 km an hour winds, something like that. I don’t know. So, basically only managed like 30k and then sort of gave up for the day to be honest. Let me just show you my count from last night. So, I count where the bike is now. And behind me was a beautiful fishing lake and it was lovely. I did get really creeped out last night just camp on your own is scary. You can get more used to it, but it’s still like not the most comfortable thing to do. It’s not like being in a house. It’s not doesn’t feel as safe as that. So yeah, I camped here last night. It was gorgeous. And now I’m going to try and cycle about 100k today and make it past piler. Pit locker. I can’t pronounce it. And yeah, basically I’m just on the A9 the entire day. Yeah. So it’s like 132k just outside Glasgow. And then the next day I cycled 40k in the winds. And then yesterday I cycled 20k. Okay. It is so bloody cold. It’s um just started raining or like splitting and this is the last supermarket for 100k. I’m car at the moment. So I’m going to go get some scram. Going to get some lunch. I’ve got some food for dinner. So yeah, we’re going to go get some scram. This is actually really nice bowl power shake. Like I should have got the chocolate one though. 22 g of protein. It’s epic. Another day, another mug of overnight oats and peanut butter and banana. So, today we’re going to make it to Invenesse. It’s 100k away. Hopefully, we’re going to get 122k to a campsite the other side of Inesse. That’s pretty sandy considering it gets dark like colder to 5 and the sun has just come up almost 20. So, we’re going to try our best. Slept really well last night. Had a cool camp spot. It’s going to be a good day. I feel like it is going to be a good day. It’s so cold though. Oh my god. Last night I was in like joggers tucked into my socks, long sleeve top tucked into the joggers, fleece, down jacket, hat, got [ __ ] buff on my sleeping bag and I was still cold, but I’m all right now. My hands are cold, but the rest of it is fine. Yesterday I had to I had to cycle in my down jacket yesterday. I wonder if I’m going to have to do that again today. Baltic. Scotland’s cold. Not it. This was the camp spot last night. My bike is where the tent was. Pretty nice. That’s where I’m going. We’ve got some good tunes on. My gloves are somewhere deep in the depths of my bag. We’re going to see how long I last before my hands fall off and I have to go through all of my bags and find them. Oh well. Baby, baby. And I wish you could hear this in the background. Oh, what a nice day. All right, let’s [ __ ] get cycling cuz it’s like half 9. Left late again because I was just scooping peanut butter and procrastinating. 112k I think. Going to cycle to Abby more 40k away and then have a break. Let’s get it. So beautiful here. A lot of people keep asking me why I chose this time of year to do it. I was doing other stuff in summer. I was traveling in the van. I was in Europe. I was having a great time. And I just there’s so much I want to do and not enough time for it. Um well, no, there is enough time, but I’m filling that time. So, I decided to do it in October. Yes, it’s cold. The daylight hours are shorter. It’s windy. It has been very rainy. But the autumn colors are insane. Like, it’s beautiful. I actually don’t regret doing it this time of year. Would it have been easier in summer? Nicer in summer? Easier? Yes. Nicer? I don’t know. I quite like it. Oh my god, that soup’s amazing. I’m just in a cafe at the moment. It’s like in a bike shop, above a bike shop. They’re replacing my brake pads cuz they are completely upstairs. I it so badly. Basically, I turned up. There was like one campsite in this whole place. I turned up to this campsite and the guy’s like, “We’re closed.” I’m like, “Okay.” And he’s like, “Yeah, there’s no electricity, no water, no nothing. Everything’s off. It’s closed.” I was like, “Okay, sun’s setting, by the way.” Just this old man pops his head out of a caravan. I’m like, “Would it be possible for me to just pitch my tent? Like, I’m on my bike. It’s a oneman tent. like I don’t need anything. Could I just pitch my tent here? The guy’s like, “No.” So, there I am. Sun set. Sun has set by this point. 6:00 p.m. 5:55 sunset was. And I’m just stuck in middle of Dingwell. Ding well. It’s just above in Vaness. I’m sat there. I’m literally sat on the floor outside this scam site kind of hoping that he’ll come out and take pity on me and be like, “Okay, just pitch 10, whatever.” He doesn’t. Searching on booking.com. Bear in mind I’ve just passed in like pretty big city, loads of really nice hotels, like could have stayed in the same price like one with a spa. So I’m looking on booking.com. I find a place 600 m away. Cycle to it. go inside like, “Hey, I kind of forget to speak English to this guy.” And we both laugh at me. And then I’m like, “What’s your cheapest room?” And he’s like, “I can 80 quid.” I said, “That’s not what Booking.com said.” He said, “No, true. It’s cheaper if you do it online. Go outside, book it, come back in and say, “Can you check in, please?” So, I did that. When I booked it, came back in, checked in. The bike’s locked up downstairs. All my stuff’s in here. I’m in here. I am so tired. Did 105k today or above M&S, which means I think it’s less than 200k to Jon 176. Can you see that? 176 km. I’m so nearly there. That’s actually mad. I’ve cycled up the entire cycled up all of it. I’ve cycled up the whole country and I’ve got [ __ ] that left to do. That’s crazy. some corn. [Applause] I just hit the hardest veg ever. Then I need to go to the supermarket. I will be back. Come with me to the supermarket. [Music] I’ve actually had a super chill day today. Um, there hasn’t been much elevation. The weather’s been beautiful. Look, there’s blue sky. Sun is shining. I am 70k in. It’s about half 2. I’m just stopping off for some lunch. I had a cheeky sandwich and this has been in my bag for ages and ages and ages. And I also had a whole like tunnet of tomatoes which is nice. And then I think I’m going to have like a flapjack thing for pudding. I reckon something like that or a naked bar. Yeah, I’m 70k in. I’ve got around like I wanted to do about 100 today. Tomorrow’s 80. I was just looking at it. Tomorrow is 86k, but it’s like 700 m of elev elevation. 700 800, which is quite a lot. So, if I do my mileage really quickly, then I might chuck in an extra 10k or something if I can. I don’t know. No pressure. Um, I just had someone who like followed me on Instagram just came up to me and she was like, you know, you and stuff and ask me if I need anything. It was really cool. It was really nice. Um, I’ve met like a lot of nice people that follow me on this trip, which is really quite bizarre. Um, but like lovely bizarre, you know what I mean? So, yeah, been a good day. I’ve been listening to a Rich Rolls podcast. Um, and just now I’ve been listening to the one with Ross Edgie and so interesting. Rich Roll’s such a good like interviewer and Ross Si’s just like coolest bloke on the planet. So yeah, now it’s making me think like I should go swim. I’m like going I’m sort of along the NC500 route at the moment. So I’m seeing the sea a lot. I’m like [ __ ] should I just [ __ ] the bike and start doing long distance swimming and become a shark? Okay, we are 91.76 kilometers into today. I think that I’m going to go to just over 100 and then find a camp spot. If I do 100 today or there or thereabouts, um then I’ll have about 85 tomorrow. So, if I do a bit Oh my god, hear my podcast talking. That was really quite [ __ ] scary. like there’s nobody about. Oh, it is a beautiful day. I can’t stop thinking that like the sun’s come up for me to do these final two days and it’s like welcoming me to the finish. Oh, and there’s a beautiful beach over there. I’ve just pulled off into a layby and now I’m going to try and see if there’s anywhere to get up here. I’ve got the most beautiful sunset for my final evening. That was a good spot back there, but I’m like I keep wanting to go onwards a bit more, but then I’m worried that if I go onwards, I’m not going to find anywhere at all. And I’ve got 15 minutes until sunset. I am in Cathy Ness. Welcome to Cathy Nurse. [Music] How crazy beautiful is this camp spot? It’s insane. I can’t believe this is my last night. And I get blessed with this. I really did get the most beautiful sunset. It’s getting cold now. So, I’m going to get in my little tent tea. Sunset and I’m going to have some food. Slight issue. I only have half a bottle of water. It was poor planning on my plot. I meant to get a another bottle of water in the last town I passed, but I went through it without realizing. Missed the spa. So, yeah, I’ll be fine with that amount of water. The sun is rising on my final day. It feels completely insane to say that I made overnight oats. I’m whacking in a banana. Going to put some peanut butter in as well. I’ve had this literally every single morning. Well, at the start I was having it with like cooked as porridge. But now I’m just doing it as overnight oats cuz it’s much much easier. I’ve got 80 k today. I hope I make it. A lot of people ask me like, “Oh, you think of charity like What’s your reasoning behind it? I was just doing it for myself. Last year I got really good at spending time alone and I wild camped on my own and I felt really confident and really proud of myself and really strong. And then this year I feel like that strength had disappeared a bit. The idea of even like staying in the van on my own was quite scary. So, I really wanted to do this to push myself outside my comfort zone and prove myself that I can again. And I’ve done it. I’ve wild camped. It has been terrifying. Well, obviously, I’m not going to film any of that because when you’re in fight or flight mode, you don’t think about getting a camera out. Most nights that or every night that I’ve wild camped, I have woken up in the middle of the night being scared that there’s somebody there. There have been some really tough days with cycling. I’ve had really bad knee pain, tough headwinds, a lot of uphills. I’ve just been exhausted as well because I haven’t been sleeping great. You know, sometimes I’m getting like 3 hours sleep and then having to cycle 100k the next day is pretty tough, but I’m proud of myself. I’ I’ve made it up this entire way and I’ve just got one leg left. So, it’s insane. I know for some people that like these things are not hard to face. for other people they see seem unimaginable but like this has been my journey and I’ve learned a lot myself a lot has been really cool so cheers [Music] [Music] This is insane. I’m 10k in. 67 km left. That’s it. [Music] Oh, I I actually can’t explain like this feeling. It’s overwhelming and I’m just trying to take it all in. Victory lap, baby. [Music] [Music] I am less than 5k away. They didn’t make it easy. They ended on a bit of a hill. So, I’ve been going up and down hills for the last 25k. But this is so cool. [Music] You made it. I made it. I made it. Lands end 874 miles. I actually don’t know what to do with myself now cuz I’m just like here on my own. It’s like a solo celebration. I I [ __ ] did it. So, I’m on my way home, but a girl messaged me on Instagram and said, “Do you want to come and do a bungee jump?” So, in about 10 minutes, I’m going to do a bungee jump. So, cut to the bungee jump. Camera over there. A little wave. Nice one. Right. Facing the front, arms up. Not my count. Nice big dive. 3 2 1 I can do that angle work. You can just do it just now. You
