Yes, what is up, peeps? Welcome back to a brand new episode. You join me on a Thursday. The time has just gone 9:00 a.m. and I’m here in Piccadilly Circus, central London, and I’m going to be delivering some parcels today on Gopher. Going to wait for the first order to come in and then set off from Piccadilly Circus. There we go. First job of the day, screw fix. Of course, it is £537. I think this is the one. Yeah, Vauxil Bridge Road. But I am staying on this side of the river. I was heading up into Soho to see if I can get any jobs. Lo and behold, a Screw Fix order came in. I knew it was going to be Screw Fix. It always is. But it’s funny because I ride past the Screw Fix or like four Screw Fix locations to get into central London and I don’t get a job. I get all the way up to up to uh central London and then a job comes in. Yeah, they’ve uh repainted the fountain over in uh Piccadilly Circus. There was a crash here about 2 weekends ago. Happened about 4 4:00 a.m. I think it was. And uh yeah, they basically looks like they come from Piccadilly and they mounted the pavement and smashed into the fountain. Well, into the steps of the fountain. Looked like absolute carnage. [Music] I am going to lock the bike up because I don’t know how long I’m going to be in there. So, I’ve got a sprint pickup. Uh 6704. 674. Yeah. 6 minutes away for the delivery. Yeah, today is meant to be 30°. I should have uh wore some shorts. I’m going to be sweating later on. [Music] Another job’s in there. has changed my uh sequence. It wants me to go back to Screw Fix to pick up the order and then go and deliver the one that I’ve got now and the one that I’ve just got. But I’m literally 2 minutes away from this customer. So, it makes no sense me turning around going back to get that one and then carrying on. I’ve got until 10:55 to deliver the new order that that just came in. So, yeah, that’s that’s 50 minutes. I can do four jobs in that time. Ah, see this is why I love Gopher. Look, they’ve already rearranged my sequence cuz they can see that I’m basically here now. Oh, another one. Jobs are flying in. I’ll take that. 627. All right, let me give a call to this customer. Alex, hello. It’s uh your courier. I’ve got a screw fix delivery for you. Are you in the pub on the corner? That’s it. Yeah, just went down the side of there. You know what? It’s been uh quite busy already. I was doing some deliveries yesterday, but it was really, really quiet. Yeah, I didn’t start until 10:00. I made sure to get up a little bit earlier today, and I think it has done me a favor. Hello. Hello. Good morning. Uh, it’s your Screw Fix delivery ride. I’m just outside. Good morning. Lovely. All right, so I’m going to head straight back to that screw fix in Vauxhall Bridge Road cuz I feel like that is the busiest place to get jobs. And that’s the thing, the majority of jobs are going to be Screw Fix Sprint. Yes, you can be picking up parcels from other places. It’s not all B2B or or B TOC, sorry. Sometimes people book in for, I don’t know, anything to be delivered. A jacket or I’ve delivered one single bar of lip gloss before. You can literally deliver anything. I’ll bring you back when the next one is in. So, I’ll come back to the uh Screw Fix City, but I got another job picking up from Haywards. Haywards Haywards of Nightsbridge. So, it’s a pickup just next to Brmpton Road and it’s one clothing item. Exactly what I was saying earlier. It’s not always screwix deliveries. Wow. £916. It’s quite good. Just about to arrive to this next pickup. The bike has gone into reserve mode. If you can see there on the fingerprint scanner, it’s gone blue. That means that I’ve got like one or two bars of battery remaining. So, I am going to be switching over to one of the range boosters collection. Uh going to Haywards and Nightsbridge. 1 second. Sure. Thank you. Easy, easy. All right, let’s drop 7 minutes. One mile. Come on. Quad lock. There we go. Oh, yeah. That’s what I was going to do. Change over to one of the range extenders. So, switch the bike off. I’ve got the range extender plugged into the bike here. So, it just plugs in where you would charge the bike. Switch it on. Green light. Yep. Then go over to the app, reconnect the bike, and there we go. Back to full bars of battery. And if anything, this one of these range extenders is going to last longer than the internal battery because this one is 214 W hours and this one is 206. And I am going to be uh keeping it in normal mode. Not going to go up into sport mode. I’ll probably go up into sport sport mode. Sport mode. Sport mode. When I’m uh on my way home or something or like if I get a rush job. Yeah, if I get a rush job, I’ll pop it up into sport mode. Obviously, there’s not much difference in terms of the top speed. It is limited to 15.5 mph as it is a 250 W motor. However, because the bike is so lightweight, I can easily get up to 20 mph after that assistance drops out. The difference with sport mode, it just gives you the power delivery is more instant and it’s more not aggressive, but yeah, the power delivery is much more than the normal mode. It’s almost like having a boost mode, which uh some of these companies are now doing on their ebikes. I’m not a big fan of the boost button and stuff like that. I feel like if you’re going to be using sport mode or some sort of boost mode, it just needs to be without a button, you know. All right, let’s uh have a look. Yeah, battery is okay on the phone. 68%. I’ve got my power bank with me today with the London Eat sticker. And if you see me out on the road, always say hello to me. the amount of people that message me on Instagram saying, “Oh, I saw you today, but I didn’t want to say hello or bother you.” I’m just a delivery bloke that films his daytoday and put it on and puts it on YouTube. Come and say hello to me. I would love to meet uh viewers and subscribers in uh in the real world, you know, and it’s not even on like a big-headed thing. It’s it’s just nice to meet people in real life. Put a always say it put a face to a username. And also, I’ve got some stickers on me as well. So yeah, if you see me out and about, I’ll always pull out one of these bad boys and give you one. To be honest, I need to start sticking these in uh in places, especially the pickup locations. So now, yeah, free pickups, free drop offs. Earliest one is 12:59 and the other one hasn’t got to be dropped off until half one. Yeah, you can’t really turn down jobs if you’re already heading to that pickup spot, you know. It’s been really, really enjoyable today. I hope you’re enjoying the episode so far. I feel like it, like what I was saying at the beginning of the video, this brings it back to the raw way of delivering. Like, I don’t know. It’s hard to put it into words, you know, because I see a lot of comments from from you guys that used to be couriers in the city and you talk about not using uh maps and you using A to Z and stuff. Obviously, I’m still using Google Maps, but I don’t know. I think it’s the bike, you know, there’s not all crazy technology on it. As much as I love tech, it’s um Yeah, it’s just stripped it back a bit. Wa, this bag is heavy. Going to have to go this way. I can’t.
