good morning from France today we are in tulon ton tulon is it ton ton we’re not sure we had a leisurely morning this morning we got up we went to the galley it’s called so it’s like a buffet except for that they serve you so we got our ice lattes and I had avocado toast and Andrew had salmon salmon toast salmon toast with a little cream cheese and now we’re going to go explore the city we didn’t have a whole lot of time to research this trip so we’re just winging it today we’ve got we’ve got about 6 hours so we have to be back on the ship so a good amount of day it might take the little what a good amount of day I like that like a good amount of time yeah I like it all right little switch for those of you who are super observant yes we did just switch sides we got a new camera and we’re still trying to figure out how to use it so hopefully hopefully the stabilization is good cuz I’m just kind of holding it blocking all right anyways we’ll show you some of the city when we get there we think we’ve made it to a market there’s big flower market lots of shopping it’s open air right across from the cruise port so we’re going to check it out see what they have to offer probably won’t buy too much but really cool to look [Music] at that was cool so this video is not sponsored by du lingo but thank you Duolingo just ordered in French got a baguette exactly what we wanted so it was €110 which is I told Holly if it’s more than € not worth it and it looks so fresh I’m thinking about where to get a croissant while you’re eating bread yeah I love French food I really like this place it’s cool it’s a cute little seaside village town everybody’s very local and friendly so far you can tell it’s old but like hip I want to go explore a little bit more though and get a feel for the rest of it was we the bay is really really large and our ship docked at just like one tiny little area in the much broader town or city so there’s a lot to see let’s go [Music] explore apologies that I am not Off Script but I think it’s important to have all of my notes written down about tulon tulon is part of the the French Riviera and it’s often overlooked the uh deep Naval History is what actually put it on the map but the markets the new art scene and all of its beaches are what make it such a Hidden Gem here in the French Riviera it’s located between maray and Sant Trope there are a lot of options here in the city including walking around shopping hitting the beach or they even have a cable car that will take you all the way well you can’t see it back there thought you could there’s a big mountain right behind us it takes you all the way to the top so that you can see all of the area this is along a big Bay um so you can see the cruise ships all of the smaller ships and all the way out to [Music] sea so far this has been a really great City to just walk around it’s getting pretty hot out but that’s okay we walk through the market and then hit up some stores now we found the theater it’s not open but that’s okay and uh we’re just going to keep walking around and then maybe hit the Hop On Hop Off mini Hop On Hop Off train we’ll see this place is awesome look at [Music] that we stopped in the hotel across the street here because there’s a mailbox and everywhere we go in the world we get a postcard and send it to my new uh nephew back in North Carolina so he’s got a whole collection of these already probably like 2530 and he’s not even a year old yet but it’s cool it’s a little collection for him and uh it’s a good way to log where we’ve been so one day we’ll look back through all of them with them and hopefully we can take them to some of these cool places so shout out to Hudson see you guys soon one thing that Andrew left out that I think is important to note is that this tradition started when Hudson was born we were sailing Long Bay in Vietnam so we picked up a postcard to welcome him to the world and start this awesome tradition yeah by the way you can check out that video here we just bought our tickets for the little Hop On Hop Off train it’s a 45-minute ride around the city where they’re going to talk about different things show us different things should be a nice ride it’s getting very hot out so we’re picking the perfect time of day to start [Music] n e [Music] let you want the walk
