I can't figure out the correct amount of links for this bike. It seems like removing 1-2 links is too tight, but keeping it as-is isn’t possible.
Pic 1 is when the front cassete is on the lowest gear. Pic 2 is gear 2.
Any tips?
You’re not supposed to cross chain (big chainring – big cog and small-small). Your chain is aight.

What does it look like in the biggest sprocket (on the cassette, not chainring)?

go big-big and show us your derailleur

Just as long as when you are in big/big (which you shouldn’t need to be anyways) the derailleur doesn’t pull completely straight forward and still has some spring to it. I’d say take a link pair out based on the first pick. It will wear the derailleur cage and the chain to rub like that.

Although it’s certainly not advisable to drive the small chainring – small cog combination ( like mentioned above ) it is the standard to adjust the chain length in this position…but the lower chain shouldn’t touch the pulley – so your chain is one ( double) link to long…

The chain will stretch as you ride …so it is better to have the ”too tight” over having too many chain links.
