I try to wrap it as tightly as I can around the seat post while riding, but it often slips down and rubs the back tire. This chain lock is more useful for locking up my bike than the U-lock that I used to use, but how do you wrap it around your seat post or bike frame while riding?

Would strapping it to the saddle help?
Can always grab a under the seat bag I grabbed one for 5$ at local co op and use it for my lock or other random things.
I wrap mine around the top tube.
I wrap mine around the handlebars.
Put the lock part inside the triangle of your frame, and wrap it tight to the seat post. Works for me, but I have a key one, so the lock part is shorter
I wrap it around my neck
Heads up, that chain isn’t gonna do a lot of good to deter anyone who knows these locks. Combo locks are notoriously easy to open with zero tools, or at most a simple shim cut from a soda can. Pull the two halves apart while it’s locked and feel alone can tell you where the right numbers are when rotating the dial.
I got a [small handlebar bag](https://roadrunnerbags.us/products/burrito-handlebar-bag) fold my chain up and put it in there.
I had to play around with the configuration of mine but I got it to where it doesn’t rub against my tires or my legs while pedaling. I swing it around the seat post, loop up underneath one of the bars of my rear rack, and pull it through the rear rack to lock it in a big loop. If I was using this lock with this bike I would try some combination of looping around the seat post and top tube. But really just play around with it when you’ve got a spare few minutes
I wear mine like a sash.
Kinda like Worf. 🖖🏼
Route through spokes
Two ways I do it on a bike like that. I’ll wrap it around the top to e and the down tube.
For short jaunts between stops I’ll wrap it around myself like a bandolier.
inside pannier, it only weighs one pound
cargo bike bro, i just put it in my bags
I’ve kept mine at a lot of different places. Rack bag, pannier, frame bag. These days it goes in my backpack. A frame bag is the best route if you want to keep things trim. Get one big enough for the lock plus an emergency repair kit and you’re good to go.
