Join me for a solo ride from above Nottingham to Peterborough, but rather than going through Nottingham I ventured up towards Sherwood Forest and looped around the city. I also mapped Terrace Hill on the way down, which nearly killed me in the heat. It was a great solo day out, I love these days.

I didn’t go to CafĂ© Ventoux, I skipped over to Stamford via the top of Rutland Water
Oh, good god. So, rather than videoing the start today, I’m about 8 n miles in dropped off on the other side of Nottingham today and I’m going to ride one of the 100 climbs and one 200 climb and they’re about I don’t know 5 miles apart from each other if that I think. and ride to Wy and windmill and then decide whether I’m going to carry on to Cafe Von 2 or not. So, join me on a bit of a journey here in a little lane at the minute. Decent background, but here we go. [Music] [Music] [Music] So, I’ve also mapped myself to a couple of coffee shops and rather than going through Nottingham because I’m on the other side, I’ve gone up out of where I’ve dropped where I got dropped off at Papawwick and I’ve gone up towards Sherwood Forest. Couple of coffee stops. First one’s pretty short, so I don’t know if I’ll stop there anyway, but it’s worth having a look. Second one definitely already lumpy and bumpy and it’s got 11 climbs on this route. Two of them being those harder ones, but should be a good day out. [Music] Just rode into this estate. No idea what it is. I’ll put it up on the video, but it’s proper exclusive here. Not sure they want people like me around here. There you go. That’s what it is. Hexual estate. the maps of the old baller room. I didn’t see that. So, there is anyway. That’s all right. Looking forward to the next one. Cycling cafe. Let’s get to that one. [Music] Thank you. Heat. Heat. Was I kidding thinking I’ll do 100 miles today? It is probably about midday and I’m about 20 miles in. Granted, I have stopped at a coffee shop, but the elevation and the heat. No way am I doing 100. I’m going as fast as this dude. My hairdresser’s car here. Beamer. I’ve been following him for about 5 minutes, 5 miles. He ain’t even got any hair to dry off. But what a gorgeous place to ride. Stunning around here. Sneaky little ups and downs. I’m on a scrabbly track at the minute. that. But that’s all right. Let’s carry on. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Music] Are you All right. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Sorry for all a drink. See what you like. [Applause] So, what did it say? Have a good day tomorrow. [Music] All right. [Music] Wake it up. [Music] I mean, the hills do it. I mean, like, yeah, I love the hills. It’s the the flats are are so boring to me. My man’s Barcelona had 180K in here. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Right over there in the distance is Beaver Castle. And soon I’ll be going up Terrace Hill, which is one of the 100 climbs. And then straight after that is another one. Forget the name. And that’s the 200 climb. So taking me ages to feel like I’ve got below Nottingham really. And I am away from Nottingham now. But when I keep looking at the map, it just feels like Nottingham’s so sprawling. It just feel felt like it took me ages to sort of catapult round it from the top. But yeah, next challenge then. Two hills. Let’s do it. [Music] So I suspect this here is Harris Hill. First one looks like it over the top of these trees or through the trees. 17%. 20%. No gears left. Big 90%. that hurt. Another one in a minute. Oh, good god, that really hurt. I haven’t done one like that for a while. Not one I’ve had to zigzag round across the road and get in front of a car at. Now, when I did one in the Peak District, I remember what it was called in the morning. Uh, that was one of the 200. And that was still steep. So, I’m not really looking forward to this next one in a minute. Bits of me falling off me and out of me. All sorts. So, let’s get this done and then get to the windmill and have another rest. And then I’m going Stanford home. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Oh, draggy. Easy. You know your legs are dead when you got a zigzag at 12%. All right. 140 foot to go. 12%. Can’t imagine many people doing this today. Sugar and salt, man. The heat, the headwind, and the hills. Mental. That’s 43 miles in. I don’t know how far I got left. The windmill must be a good 30 mi out. All right, let’s crack on. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] I’m a bit jealous actually. I’m just I’m literally just I went I’m not [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. So, look at here. Different place, different shirt. Yeah. So, I’ll explain where I am in the next video. So, do uh subscribe and you’ll get the uh notifications if you thumbs up me and all the rest of it. But yeah, so Nottingham what? Couple of hard hard climbs there. Um nothing like this one, but yeah, I hope you like the content. I enjoy making it. Please follow. get your mates to follow and all the rest. Catch you soon on the other side in this video here.
