  1. It’s a bike, but even if it is in good shape, I definitely wouldn’t spend 200 on it.

  2. About 25-30 years ago it was a good quality entry level mountain bike. It’s still probably a decent bike but that depends a lot on the condition and wear on the parts. Also that fork is probably more of a liability than an asset, and you’d likely be better off swapping it with a rigid one.

“Mountain biking” has changed a lot since then so it would probably not be fun to use on modern MTB trails, but for general tooling around and light off road stuff, it’ll be fine.

Also the saddle was added later by someone who was unused to riding a bicycle and got a sore butt on their first ride. I’d suggest replacing it with a normal bike saddle, which will actually be more comfortable in the long run.

Once it was. It appears to be in good condition. I wouldn’t hazard a guess at a valuation. It looks very well maintained and I’m sure it would be fun to ride. I would have it checked over by your local bike shop before riding anywhere. Slán go fóill.
