LBS highly recommended a guy in town who applies this stuff as a side gig and apparently he is the best. I don’t have the best of luck so any extra protection I can give my bike the better. I want to get some frame bags, etc and instead of applying small bits of “helicopter tape” just get the whole bike wrapped. Anyone have experience with this product? Pros? Cons?

Ride Wrap is great, I have it on a couple bikes. The “tailored” kits can be a really finnicky pain in the ass to install, and it takes a while, but if there’s an experienced installer to do it for ya, it provides the best protection… the “covered” kits still protect a substantial amount of the bike and are easier to install.
Great stuff for protecting the finish on your paint, and they have kits that are custom cut to cover 99% of your particular model/size. if your lbs knows a guy I’d recommend using him, it can be a fiddly process to line everything up. It will probably be a couple hundred dollars for labor
Meanwhile, doing cx races through mud and sand on my trek…
