We’ll see if I regret this one…

Per usual I swap a lot of stuff around on my bikes. Had disc front a v rear for a bit, and on a couple other bikes and it works just fine. Was looking up old GTs on the mtbr forums and saw a guy had this adapter on his 97 that supposedly had 500 miles and still no issues. Not much information available on this adapter but a guy does still sell it on ebay so figured I'd give it a shot. It does require drilling two new holes for it, and no template is provided so really I was going off of this one guys fairly detailed post from a decade+ ago.

Normally I'd be inclined to not do this modification but although the frame photographs decent, it's beat, was $5 and has a number of questionable dents in it already. I do think it'll be just fine though there is a lot of meat on the dropouts of these frames.
