Straight out of the box, lubed chain, ensured yellow markings on hub were aligned (gear 4). Something is rubbing or misaligned. Did not appear that the front chain guard was rubbing anywhere. Any thoughts?
Damn I didn’t do any of that stuff, and it played out well. Lucky me. Hope you’ll get the solution.

I don’t have a G-line, but do fiddle with bikes. Toe, it sounds like the chain is not properly fitted on the pulley wheels of your chain tensioner? On one wheel it might be “running on top” of the wheel.
If that’s the case, you just have to play around (press/release) with the chain tensioner.
