Jul.21, 2020: I picked up a bicycle and rode to Soltvadkert and went swimming at Vadkertitó/Bödöstó. On the way back, I stopped at a cafe and made a detour to Kecel to see the tanks on display.
Okay. foreign. Okay. Junior Junior. Yeah. Yeah. Um maybe. Okay. I’m on my way now to the lake. Marika let me use her bicycle here. She gave me directions. And so now it should take about 45 minutes to an hour. I have a nice bike path to use. Today is really nice, about 82 degrees. It’s going to warm up to 86, but tomorrow it’s supposed to be rainy again. So I’ll be lucky today. Madison through some vineyards here. This area is famous for making wine. They make so much good wine over here. It’s well known for it. This triangle of villages. I’m going in the direction of Soul Valker. Schul Vatker is only 3 km. It’s pretty quick. I like these bicycling paths because you don’t have to deal with traffic and they pretty much go anywhere. This is where I’m going to it’s a 4 km ride. This is Schult. It’s a small town. They have a couple churches here. It’s pretty nice town. I’m just going to look for a supermarket. This place is a big maker for wines. I saw a bit toe from the air when I was flying a few days ago and now I’m going there on the ground on a bicycle to take a look at it in person. It looked pretty nice from the air. I saw a little festival going on. There was a lot of people, cars, and seemed like a really good vacation spot. So, I figured might as well check it out. I’m almost there now. Here’s a wild horse. What is he doing? He’s a kiddo. I think once I get there, I’m going to see if you can walk around it first. I have to check out this horse. Hey, how’s it going, buddy? Are you wild or you’re tame? Let’s see. It looks really small. Are you wild or tame? Seems to be kind of tame. Hey, buddy. This must be like a few months old. It’s pretty small. Wow. He shivers like that. I don’t know. So, what’s your name? You must be only like 3 months old. You’re so small. I guess you’re not. You shouldn’t go behind this so he can kick you. But he’s only about 3 or 4 feet high. Can you do any tricks? Sit. No, horses don’t sit. Just joking. What can they do? They can lay down. Can you lay down? I don’t want to ride this horse. It’s too small. See you later, alligator. I mean, horse. You can go camping here. This is the big parking lot. Someone’s mowing the grass, but the camping area is over there. I’m pretty excited about this place. I can see the lake already. There’s people out there. A lot of people came here with bicycles. Let’s see if there’s a spot for me. Oh, there’s one. [Music] This is the camping area. Come with your car, set up your tent, and camp here. It’s pretty nice. You can hang your towels. You can relax, set up your lawn chairs, and it’s right next to the lake. They even have cooking facilities here along with sinks and electricity. You can watch TV. You can have a little campfire. A lot of nice things at this little camping spot. Now, I made it to the area here. It’s kind of the beach area. The water slide is not working. It’s a nice sunny day here. It’s the weekday, so not as many people as the weekend. Over here, you can rent these little boats along with canoes if you want to go around the lake. So, I might go take a swim. Well, the water isn’t too cold. It’s pretty nice. It’s warmed up throughout the day. I’m already far away from the coast, but I’m still about 3 ft into it. It’s not that deep over here. It’s pretty shallow. Pray if you get further out, you’ll find the deepness. So, I’m going to try out my GoPro for swimming purposes. I’m going to do some swimming now and see if my GoPro works. Well, it’s pretty nice. I can just hold my GoPro just above the water. I wish the water slide was working, but not today. Seems to be pretty old, though. I’d say there’s over a thousand people here, or at least 500. It’s pretty busy. It’s pretty nice place to visit. I’m going to see if I can walk around this lake. I think you can walk around it. I see a treehouse in the far distance over there. These kids are jumping off and diving, so it seems to be pretty fun. It’s a good location to come to spend the whole day. It’s probably better than that thermal bath. Although this place is not as hot, but it is warm. That was pretty fun. Now I’m going to walk around the lake. This nice path here. It looks like at the end of this little path is a small lake here. Looks like you can go boating on this lake, but it’s pretty dead. Not many people are here. It’s good for wildlife, though. Some of these boats are so in bad condition, they’re almost halfway sinking. So, it looks like the other part of the lake is actually separated by this little canal. So, if you wanted to not enter here at this resort, you could visit the lake at the other side. [Music] Fresh scha make palachinta Nutella make mashed leg butter palinta palinta is Nutella. Yeah. On top of the restaurant. There’s no chairs or tables. I guess it’s too hot for that. But I just ordered some food items and I’m waiting now. It’s a really nice place to relax. I waited a good 51 minutes for my food to come here. So, finally the food came. I ordered some potatoes and pachinta. These are spicy potatoes. It’s still a little hot. party in Turkish. Here’s another vantage point of this lake. And here’s the water slide. This lake is called locally has a nickname stinky lake. British toll. Too bad this is not working. The cost on this one though, if you want to go once is about.75 or if you want to go unlimited times, it’s about $5. Looks pretty interesting. Wish it was working. That was the end of that place. It’s called Burish toe. Otherwise, the real name is called Vatarito. to go back. I’m going to take the shortcut. It’s kind of a shortcut, but supposedly there’s some sand along the way, so it might slow me down on my progress. I won’t have as much pavement like this, but I wanted to check out a different route to get back to Kishkish. This is the free part where you can come. You can go fishing here like those people camping. And it seems pretty nice. There’s no entry fee here cuz it’s not a park. This is the kind of sand there is. It’s really difficult to get through. I might have to go back to my old route and return. I don’t know if I can handle this sand. That’s what sand does. You can’t even uh gain traction. Yep. This is definitely the way to go. A lot easier than that sand. Oh, okay. It’s a leg um as a leg drag. Oh, okay. Me and Okay. menu. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. [Music] There’s an ice cream shop. You want to photo? Got a dragon fruit smoothie drink at this place. And I also got a couple uh ice creams. This is a pretty famous place to stop to eat at. It’s called Chaladi Sukrash. This route is taking longer than expected. I get to pass through farmland, apple trees, corn. I also saw some grapes and vineyards. It’s a nice path. Once I get to Castle, I want to take a look at that Army Museum. I wanted to take a look at that during the daytime since yesterday was too dark for my liking. I’ve been on this road for the last half hour or 40 minutes. So, I’m almost there. It’s a nice little country road. I made it to Castell and the museum for the tanks during the daytime. That’s pretty impressive. Has a good collection right here. It’s actually a private guy who came here to collect these and now he made a museum out of it. This guy was a huge collector. There’s so many varieties of items here. Here’s a monument that they made in front of this. You can see huge bombs right here. I thought it was a rocket, but then I learned it was actually a bomb. And I can’t believe this, but you need a mask to go into this museum, even though it’s outdoors and there’s no one around. It currently costs about 2,000 foreign to go in. That’s the price when it’s open. And they have all sorts of aircraft, trucks, pickups, and tanks, helicopters, fighter jets. It’s pretty interesting. This guy is Roa Federance. He only lived 36 years. He must have been a soldier. Here are the fighter jets on display at the side. I have to ride home about 9 km or 5 miles straight ahead. Finally arrived. is for this.
