papaki72 on July 14, 2025 11:55 am Remove a palms width of bar tape to make room for mounting a light. You have wrapped so much bar tape that it would affect the balancing of the steering by forcing the cables bent. Soon it will loosen your black vinyl tape.

some will attach on the bar itself to either side of the stem…or you can get some mounts that will hang under or sit on top of the stem…
Have you tried adding it
On the front
Cut of some bar tape. No one needs bar tape that close to the stem.
Lights with rubber straps just go around the tape, for others remove a bit of tape.
