I currently own a marin alpine trail and was looking at the pivot firebird which was relatively close to me but it sadly sold. Then i found the switchblade, 2 of them. Now its the dillemma of which one
Bike 1:
Fox 36 factory kashima
Fox float x kashima
Fox transfer kashima
Deore xt drivetrain and brakes
Dt350 hubs (no upgrade kit to 54t)
2020
Bike 2:
Rockshox lyrik ultimate
Rockshox super deluxe ultimate
Unknown dropper(probably oneup)
Sram gx axs drivetrain with xx1 cassette
Deore xt brakes
I9 hydra hubs
2022
Both are 2000, Im mentally going towards the 2nd one but what do you think, does kashima really make that big of a difference?
Thank you in advance

My bike is almost identical to the first one and it’s very plush. I think coil is not really necessarily and I would rather save a few grams for faster climb.
while kashima looks sick, i’d go with the second one. it’s newer, it has axs, nicer wheels and ultimate level suspension is equal to fox facroey
I have Kashima on my bike but to me it’s only for visual appeal. If I thought black looked better on my bike I’d run that instead.
I’ve had nothing but problems with SRAM since buying my new Yeti (which I otherwise love) so I’d go with the Shimano drivetrain, personally.

If Nino Shurter doesn’t need Kashima, neither do you.
I’d go second bike. I think the kashima is more of a hype and not performance upgrade over ultimate parts
