A huge crash with 6 kilometers to go in Stage 7 of the Tour de France 2025 saw the peloton piled up in a chaotic mess. Among those involved were Stage 6 winner Ben Healy, Joao Almeida and Jack Haig. Stage winner Tadej Pogacar and the top GC contenders were not involved. #TDF

There’s Ben Healey, yesterday’s stage winner. Oh, crash crashing the pelaton. Loads of riders are down. Healey hits the deck. That was a big big crash. Dunar is down as well just as they were riding in the side. Arda is down as well on the left hand side. Two riders from Bahrain looking at the and Jiao Ala also down here for the Bahrain victorious team is Jack Hague. You can never Gon Martan is down as well. It doesn’t seem to be any cars. There was a barrage with this. So let’s look on the right. Oh, big touch on the right. Wellins looks so many riders hit the deck. Look at Eddie Dumbar. Locks it up and goes sideways. Xiao Meda ends up in the grass. Another rider on the right hand side. Yeah, I think that might have been Martan because we Oh no, Martan’s underneath the bikes there. Costume is down as well having been in the breakaway. And there’s also another That’s horrible.

Ouch!
Either the tyre gave way, as you can clearly see sealant spraying everywhere. Or, braking lead to locked wheels which caused the tyre to give way.

Interesting to see that no rider was tempted to bail out into that empty grassy shoulder, preferring instead to lock up and slide into the pile. More cyclo-cross experience might have led to a different reaction.

It was a horrible pileup — twisted machines.
Skujins has either something to do with the cause of the crash or was affected also and barely came out of it. You can seem him deviate right around the space where almeida is. The explosion of Almeidas wheel seemed to happened afterwards.

Every time I see road bike crash I'm surprised how easily they all go down… I've crashed plenty in my time and just think it's bad sportsmanship to stay in the middle of the road… this is not a soccer match.
