New to all things cycling, wanted a road bike because I have a goal of doing an Ironman next year and needed something to train on
I bought this trek Emonda (56in) knowing it would be too small (I’m 6’2) on Facebook for $900 because I wanted to see if I would even enjoy cycling before going and spending $2k on a brand new bike. 4 months in and I really like it
The plan was to ride this for a year and upgrade to something brand new, super nice, and fit to me etc
This 2021 specialized Alez sprint comp, 58in, popped up on Facebook for $1300. Is it a good deal? Is it worth it to upgrade and have a bike that fits me. I have a sprint Tri and Olympic Tri in the coming months as well.

How do you know this bike fits you? It has a (slightly) racier geometry, its reach is a bit longer and its stack is lower (comparing the last 3 years versions of Emondas). You’ll have to be more flexible, but why do you think it fits you?
It’s not really an upgrade either.
where tf you finding these ridiculous deals dude
anyways, that specialized is meh, they’re kinda the same bike
the emonda is miles prettier though, I’d stick with it
I’m sure you can find a carbon frame for a little more if you wanted a real upgrade
The size # doesn’t mean it will fit you better. Only way to tell is by riding it. $1,300 is not a great deal.
