I've been a serious cyclist for about 5 years. I just upgraded to my Aeroad 2 weeks ago. Yesterday morning when going around a blind turn, an E-biker was in the wrong lane going at an insane speed and collided with me. He hit me so hard that I somehow unclipped, flew into the air, did a flip, and landed on my back. The guy behind me immediately stopped and rushed over to check on me, and then proceeded to tell the E-biker how wrong he was. Once I got out of my daze (I'm in pain and will be absolutely hurting tomorrow) I was helped up and started talking to the witness and the jerk that crashed into me. His massive Ebike was fine and he was trying to play it all off. I didn't know what to do so I called 911 to file a report. While talking to 911 I was explaining how much my bike cost, and the guy that hit me said "What, you think your bike is better than mine?" and then he just got on his bike and sped off. I am absolutely devasted. Posting a pic of my dead girl and the bike that hit me. This bike was my pride and joy. I am devastated. The police said no crime took place, and that it is a civil matter. I don't know that I believe that now though.

Oof… I assume your bike is not insured?
You can have an lbs look at it and maybe it’s just the fork? If it is more canyon can get you a new frame, perhaps at a discount? Email them and see what happens.
Stuff like this will happen unfortunately. This is why I don’t buy bikes that I could not easily afford to replace. I would be absolutely gutted
Well. Good thing is that its “just a fork”. I know its not cheap but still wayyyyy cheaper than if it was the frame.
So its quite easily replaceable. you can learn how fo replace it yourself, its quite easy and simple enough.
If its an Gravek bike i would happily upgrade to their new suspension fork. But its an Aeroad so…..
