Cycling in the Netherlands. This is the city center of Utrecht. A very busy and lively place and yet you can hear people chat when there’s not the occasional car or a bus passing.
There is running competition in our city every year (Kaliningrad, Russia). Public transport and cars are not allowed to enter the center of the city during this time. And…. there comes a period of bliss when many people enjoy the calmness of the city streets.
Cars enrich cities to a certain degree. For example the original inhabitants still visit if a certain amount of car influx is allowed leading to better cities with a good spread of people groups of different walks of life.
This is where I live, in Utrecht, and unfortunately, there are quite a few mopeds here now, as well as Fat-Tire bikes. This particular spot is quite busy as it leads to Voorstrat – a curving street that leads towards the Uni. It's a very busy intersection. But still, really nice lifestyle.
Wasn't quiet and do the subway deliveries get dropped off by bicycle? The sirens chasing illegally entered people make it loud. Good night and god bless. Dankuwel
And contrary to popular belief, tires on cars are louder than engines. Listen to any highway, you' rarely hear engines [except for idiots speeding], you hear tires on concrete/asphalt. Especially semi truck.

„City’s aren’t loud, cars are loud.“ So did you steel that line from Jason or did NJB steel it from you?!?🧐🙃😅
Love that child with the red bike wearing all red. Great fashion statement!
This shows why stop signs weren't needed before cars. On bikes, people can naturally yield to each other, safely
Mopeds are loud, and motorbikes.
Especially mopeds. I'm from Taiwan.
0:49 the kid about to perform trippling on a bicycle.
also, these look so lively and humane. so much more visibility to another human being.
look at that, you can even chat and hear what everyone else is saying
I need to start a program where Italian kids get send to the Neatherland for few months per year.
Not a single helmet.
Just a single child wearing a helmet. Shows how safe cycling is there. All countries should adopt this system.
This strangely gives me a calming effect. like watching a scene from a Norman Rockwell painting.
And construction

Count the over weight and unhealthy people. As different from America as can be.

To be fair, there's noise you can hear all the people talking and the bike bells, it's quite loud in a human scale! 😅
Much more pleasant than the noise from car horns and rolling tires
"Het luid geluid is uit." "Fietsstraat. Autos te gast." My absolute favourite traffic signs in the Netherlands.
Where's the Deliveroo riders with their e-bikes?

Can I move there? (sigh)
