I run 160’s and hit my foot every once in awhile when riding flat footed, normally though I have my toes/heels pointed up/down, and it becomes a non issue when doing everything.

  2. It’s a common symptom that even if you run short cranks but happen to have big feet you can’t do a lot about it. This is kinda where how short is to short is the question personally when it comes to fs frames.

Adjust feet position and just get used to it i guess.
At least thats what I “did”

  4. Just get used to it. They don’t get in the way as much as you’d think. I take my pegs off to learn tricks

Maybe asses your riding and determine whether or not you need two rear pegs? If you don’t use them both, eliminating one will make a huge difference. I know quite a few riders who only run three pegs for this reason.

Always rode 12.25-12.5 rear ends, 170mm cranks, 11.5 shoe, 4 pegs. Never had an issue, I guess it’s just adaptation.
