Cube Editor Hybrid SLT 400X – 54 or 58 for 183 cm / 87 cm inseam?

Hi everyone,
I'm about to order the Cube Editor Hybrid SLT 400X but can't test-ride it, and I'm unsure whether to choose frame size 54 or 58.

Facts:

Country: Germany 🇩🇪

Height: 183 cm

Inseam: 87–88 cm

Cube’s calculator recommends 54 or 58

My current bike: Bulls Copperhead 3 MTB, size 51 (fits me very well)

I had the chance to test a Cube Kathmandu Hybrid in size 54 → felt very agile and compact (maybe a little short)

I plan to ride 25 km daily (commuting), all year round

Style: sporty, but comfort is still important

ChatGPT suggests size 58 due to geometry (stack/reach), especially for long rides and comfort

I sit around 78–79 cm saddle height currently

Question:
👉 Would you recommend size 54 or 58 for the Editor Hybrid, based on my body proportions and goals?

Any input would be much appreciated – especially from anyone riding this bike or something similar!
