So, I’m in transition at Outlaw Half Hulkcom. I’m going to pick out a few of my favorite bikes and talk to you about a few different parts I like on them. This is race number one, Malachi Kashmore Pro Trix Speed Concept in a project one paint job. He is known for having bright and particularly pink bike. So, I think if you’re going to make your brand something, then it’s great to see you owning it and, you know, making your bike stand out. Now, there’s a lot of like customization things going on in this bike. I like how much he’s thought about it. I do think with the wind wind that’s forecast tomorrow, he might regret the 100 mil front wheel, but you know, we’ll live and learn. Now, a few things I wanted to point out on this bike. A lot of it is, you know, standard of the Trek Speed concept. The things that aren’t, this absolute speed hydration mount in the middle, we know now through lots of wind tunnel testing, filling in that space in your chest is generally fast. Uh, same sort of thing with this bottle behind the saddle. Obviously, we’ve seen lots of companies, including my channel partner, Easy Gains, make like a thing that sits behind, you know, bottle sits behind you, catch the air, whatever. Malachi has actually just drilled through his saddle and mounted this mount literally just through his saddle. So, bit of a DIY hack there. I don’t know how many teeth his chain ring are, but it’s gold, so it must be fast. And yeah, it looks like a well sorted bike. Malachi is a pretty big Instagrammer, so he’s always got his branding on show, which is good to see. But yeah, real nice. Like, you know, it’s top tier. This is big money, an expensive bike, but I’m sure it works really well and it is his job, so it should do. The Scott Plasma was put on the map by some absolutely top tier GOAT triathletes just off the top of my head. Sebastian Keaneley, Alistister Brownley, Tom Riby, just to name but a few. I really like this bike. I actually nearly bought one a few years ago. And this looks like it’s really well sorted. So, we know that filling in this space on a time travel bike generally makes it fast. So, Drag to Zero tool storage box there. And it looks like this person’s got a Aero bottle that’s going to sit in there. The Drag Zero Mark1 extensions. I actually use these on my old bike. They’re really long and fit nice and well. Drag to zero arm cups and the bottle mount in the middle. So, this looks like a really well sorted road bike. Although it’s rim brake, the front brakes are, you know, enclosed in a little housing. So, it looks every bit as fast as a modernday disc brake TT bike. Group set wise is really interesting. Although the bike is a few years old and a rim brake model, it’s a one by 12speed setup, which is brilliant. A really big gear range. You get that drivetrain efficiency. I really like that. So, the Coup TF1. Now, I would absolutely love to rip on this bike to be honest, but the guy whose bikes it like it is can ride a bike. Ted Ward, I think had the fastest bike split at Bolton 70.3 and he finished second overall. So, can clearly pedal it. Now, coup make lots of claims about how fast their bikes are and I don’t know whether that’s true or not. What’s standing out to me right now is this thing is a pretty pretty much a Marmite bike, isn’t it? You either love it or you hate it. Looking at the front end close up, there’s a lot going off. The extensions look like you can adjust them out. The stack is on the outside of like a stem middle thing. There’s just there’s a lot going off. The fast TT extensions look pretty good. They look like they’re really enclosed and like they really hold you well. And yeah, I can see how that works. But I think there’s just loads of things in my mind to rattle loose and fall apart. Uh strange to see such a shallow front wheel. This is the Q cycle wheel set. So whether they’ve tested that a shallow front wheel is faster or not, I don’t know. I I doubt that to be honest. But maybe it is. Maybe Ted can let me know if I see him in the morning. Yeah, interesting to see. I don’t think I’d buy one in honesty. But, you know, if if they are the fastest thing since sliced bread, then maybe maybe they are worth looking like a bit of a strange bike, but I can’t help but think Rico Bogen won the 70.3 worlds on this and now rides for Canyon. So, I’m like, uh, you never really know what to what to believe. So, this bike is my friend Charlotte and she won’t mind me saying she’s quite small, therefore her bike is quite small. But, this is her BMG Time Machine01. I absolutely love the color, but I also like how she’s set it up. She’s got food storage on the top, bottles on the frame for hydration, extensions will set up to suit her. I really like it. Zip 404s, Shrimp Force 2 by the course tomorrow is a bit of a mixed bag, some climbing, some long flat sections, so she’s got a bit of everything. And has also taken her EAP batteries off. We’re forecast to potentially get a bit of rain tonight. So, taking those off perhaps prevents the batteries just draining overnight. Sensible decision and transition. So, this is my mate Dean’s bike. This is the Canyon Speed Max CFR. Now, if his wife asks, these are really cheap, and he picked this up on a great deal. Couldn’t say no to it. Uh, on pictures, I don’t really like this black color. I think it’s boring. In person, I think they call it moonondust. Actually, it’s got lots of like gold fleck and flakes in the paint. It looks really nice face to face. Now, obviously, it’s a topsp spec bike. It’s dur. It’s a top grade carbon. It’s arrow and all of that. The things I really like are the base bar swoops up. I spoke about this on a video about another bike I’ve got and in a bit of a review and now the base bar that sweeps down useless for climbing. You’re too air too too bent over. This means when you’re sat on the base bar, you’re actually a lot more upright and therefore you put out more power. You’re cooler cuz there more air around you. All those sorts of things. I think that’s really really practical. He has got the aftermarket ratport extensions as well. I know that the factory options are often swapped out by riders. There’s a a bladder in the frame and a bottle mount in between the arms and a bottle mount behind the saddle. And we know that this sort of setup is super arrow. So a very nice bike. Looks really good in the flesh. And I hope he has a good ride tomorrow. So as well as all these like top spare, you know, tricked out time trial bikes, you’ve also got bikes like this. And I actually really like bikes like this because this bike no doubt fits this rider well. It’s got a big gear range, clip-on bars. I think you can go, you know, 90% as fast as you can do on a really dial time travel bike on something like this. Comfy position. You can hold a setup that’s comfy. You’ve probably ridden this on the road quite a lot. I really like this sort of bike. And you don’t need those topsp spec bikes I’ve already looked at in order to do an event like this. You can ride a bar perfectly well on a bar like

Share.
