They are very similar – same groupset as far as I can tell. I’ve had a steel frame renegade and liked it a lot. This one is aluminum.
The Marin is steel, so I’d prefer that one
I had an alloy Marin Gestalt and it was very nice.
I’m surprised neither bike had a carbon fork. My Jamis renegade and Marin Gestalt both had nice sturdy seeming carbon forks. I toured with both of them
