Ride from Dawley to Wolverhampton University Telford Campus via Telford Town Centre and South Water Square.
Hi and welcome. Today we’re going to be cycling from Dory to the University site at Prizley via Telford Town Center, Southwater Square. Let’s start at the Captain Web Memorial. From here we turn right on King Street and go over the zebra crossing. [Music] Then turn left and go past the large secondary school on the right hand side. Shortly after this, gain the joint use track that leads down past the school and its grounds. [Music] [Music] [Music] I cycle past this BMX club bear right and follow this path all the way down what was once [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] At the bottom, we’ll take a left at the litter bin. This will take you on to a transformer Victorian school building. [Music] At the T junction, join Hinkay Road and turn left. This will take you all the way into the town park. Be cautious here of traffic as this is the main route into the town park and its car park. [Music] [Music] At the gate, we enter the town park. This will now be traffic free until we reach the town center. Follow this path straight through and pass the pods. [Music] At the end of this smaller pond, there’s a left turn past some table tennis tables and chess tables. Take this and go around the next pond, choosing whichever side you like. This will put you into Southwater Square and the cycle parking that is available there. [Music] [Music] [Music] This places us in south water which is section access the entertainment facilities here or go a bit another cycle rack which will give you access to there. We’re going to move on from headwood to the university. You’re in on your left. Follow this boat down past the ice rink and auto lights. [Music] bear left and follow the short access. There are cycle which will take you to the traffic lights and there are pedestrian crossings there. [Music] [Music] rather complex junction but the crossings do at its crossing one right hand side of the multi-story car [Music] Stay on the track as it best left and takes you up towards the town center. [Music] [Music] [Music] At the end of this path, turn right and run down center. That will eventually it will end at [Music] Unfortunately, there is no provision for cyclists after this roundabout. We need to cross over and turn right and head down into the Hollingswood Estate. Your children, please show extreme caution at this point. [Music] Turn left in drive and regain the cycle is immediately post naming the road at the bottom of the hill. Turn left and then stay on this track bearing slightly right over all the bridges that will pass the A442, the railway, and finally the M54 [Music] Immediately after the M54 bridge, take a right turn onto another cycle path. [Music] [Music] At the end of this section of cycle path, cross over and join the cycle path on the opposite side turning right. Stay with this and this will lead you into the university campus.
