Was out on a wet ride this morning on my Endurace CF SLX 8, turned a corner and all of a sudden felt my seat drop. Pulled over and took the screw out of the seat post clamp, pulled the seat up and up came the plastic insert with the post, except it won’t come all the way out, the post is stuck to the insert and the insert won’t come out of the down tube. Have tried contacting Canyon but haven’t heard back yet. I’m hoping to salvage the insert and reglue it in because I have a 3 day ride scheduled for August 1st and fear I may not get any replacement parts from Canyon in time. Their AI chat in the Canyon app recommended WD-40 or heat. I’m also wondering if the spring force of the seat post is making it wedged into the insert so that if I’m able to clamp it together a bit it might loosen up.

It may worth trying removing seat clamps and see if it will loosen post. Combine that with wd40. Not sure I’d try heat just yet.

Same thing happened to me. I had to twist the post sideways really fucking hard to get it out and it broke that friction piece that holds it in the seat tube. If the angle adjustment wasn’t at the base of the seat post you could maybe shimmy it out but I had to brute force it out.
Canyon will replace the clampy piece but it takes forever. I think my Endurace was out of service for three months.
Next time crank it to 6 or 7nm and be liberal with the carbon grip paste. Sorry this had to happen to you friend. The repair was super simple with some 2 part epoxy and I’ve not had any issues since then.
