Hey folks,

im planning our bikepacking trip to italy in august this year. we first fly to bari and then ride home basically. it seems like we are going to be 4 people with all rigid-mtb (all on 29×2.35). and we want to be as much in nature as possible by avoiding bigger towns … only to buy food from time to time. and a lot of mountains … maybe a little too much? … we have 4 weeks of free time. what would you change on the route? any tipps and things to avoid?

  1. Staying in the mountains is a good idea in August! I’ve been to the Gran Sasso and the Monte Sibillini in August in a campervan – we “escaped” from the coast as it was far too hot!
