Benhiti, uh, it’s a fairy tale. You’ve just won a a stage of the tour to France. What’s it mean for you? He’s dreamt of winning a stage of the tour to France. Brilliant, Ben. Stage winner in a tour to France. Control. that that’s when the emotions first really hit me, you know, when they was all there waiting and celebrating. It’s it’s, you know, it’s everyone’s victory, not just mine. And uh yeah, that’s uh with everyone on the team, it’s just just so special to be able to do that with with some genuine friends, you know. We’re all rooting for each other one way or another. Congratulations, boys. Excellent work. Yeah, just hours and hours of hard work from so many people and to pay them back today. Just Yeah, really, really amazing. went down and then ended the up here. This is the bottom. This is the end. And then when you want to snap off, you know, stage 3 and a half th000 m of climbing, final climb up to 15% for about 6 or 700 meters. We don’t want to race the race from behind. We want to race it in front uh in the breakaway. So, everyone in the break, you’re the man for the camera. Priority boarding for uh Neielson, Ben, and uh Alex today and tomorrow are stages that we’re on. It’s not battery saving mode and we’re on. Right. With all the respect I have for you and the team that we are and how good I think you are, I think we know now from the first stages that if we want to race a final like this from behind, it’s going to be for a top 15 and that’s not what we’re here for, right? Are we agreed on that? Okay. Our race is in front. Our preference considering what the final is like would be for Neielson, Alex and Ben to be in. So Andrea said something to me in the Dolphin that I repeated to the riders and I’ll say it again here. It’s okay to lose but it’s not okay to fail. Right? Losing is something we’re going to have to do over and over again as we try to win a stage. Failing is not doing what you want to do the way you want to do it. Right? So, whatever the however the race could go, we know what our race is and that’s the most important thing. This is the first kilometers of the race. 36 to 47 is small roads. They’re never going to be big today. There these D- roads in France and there’ll be a little bit of melted asphalt and it’s never like great but these are small this earlier. This is this is the one. It’s just waiting for an opportunity where like people are looking at each other and slip away, you know? I I don’t think it necessarily has to be on the clock. It just needs to be in soon space from on their zero to 25. Whoever’s with Ben, you already know now that that’s the kind of opportunity he’ll be looking for is to go ahead of to just make it a longer effort. Okay? And then whoever’s behind him can make advantage of that. Don’t be scared if you are in a group with Thunderpool and him being 1 minute 30 down in GC. Kachcha is not so keen to keep yellow. The only thing he matters it matters for him is the one minute to vinegard right because if he gives the yellow back to funool they can ride tomorrow they can stage eight they can stage nine and it’s just actually he does does him a favor went into bit of a crazy attack mode like I normally do maybe a bit less crazy than normal hopefully but yeah it was still just following every move and and making sure I was The best thing you can do is not think about option B and making sure that option A works. Right after this K is where I think you should look to try and get ahead. You have to go. The guys are going to look hopefully to Vanderpole. You just got to look for your moment. Okay. In there. If you try and go somewhere hard, everyone is expecting you to attack. And a big attack now from the front group of riders. Ben Healey’s decided time to try and win the stage alone. Got Tom and Andreas in the car behind to kind of like identify a few spots. And that one 16k8k in was like the first one that they kind of pointed out. And yeah, I just managed to kind of like naturally position myself in a in a good moment. And uh yeah, it just lined up perfectly and uh shot down the side with a bit of speed and uh made it made it difficult for them to follow. 24 year old Healey looking to leave his mark on Lon Bller. Just head down and go. You know, it was uh from that point and just trying to think about how do I get to the finish line as fast as possible. You know, getting arrow, pressing on the climbs, recovering on the descent, and just doing doing that and maximizing everything. And this is where the Irishman thrives as he chased his breakthrough tour def moment. He’s looking good actually. 15k 151. So should be good without crashes or punctures. I think we can do it. I’m afraid to get too excited. He’s dreamt of winning a stage of the tour to France and now it’s about to come true. Unbelievable. Brilliant. Ben stage win in a tour to France. Congratulations, guys. Ben won. Ben won. Congratulations to every one of you. What an amazing team effort. Super boystory goes to easy. Congratulations, boys. Excellent work. Yes. Let’s go. 2 and a half minutes of the second. Yeah. Then just coming across the line and then doing everything I had to do with the podium and then just seeing the boys after was like yeah it really started to hit home then and uh started to get a bit emotional, you know. So yeah, it it definitely meant a lot. hell. 244, man. Should we go cheer for him right in front? I I think yeah I’ve had had a bit of time for it to sink in now and it’s yeah what I’ve worked so hard for and sacrificed so much you know it’s we all did the did the days away from home and uh yeah hard yards I guess and uh for it all to come together and also like so early in the race as well it’s just yeah such a such a big relief of emotions and uh yeah just just super proud of it really oh my god pretty ecstatic. I mean uh there’s not a lot of teams that are going to get to win stages of the tour and I mean Ben was the most uh yeah the most selfieving person in the race today. He has to be the most resilient person in the race. I think he spent it must have been 50k 10 seconds in front of the bunch and then yeah I can’t believe it out of control honestly and he’s just an incredible athlete and such an awesome person too like and it’s uh it’s nice to see one of the good guys winning and yeah we’re going to have to celebrate really real big tonight. I was just getting it emotional there just looking at them guys showering. It’s like it’s nice. you can say say a lot about everyone on this team and uh just we’re we’re all ultimately just really good friends, you know, and uh we’re all rooting for each other one way or another. And uh yeah, like that’s that’s when the emotions first really hit me, you know, when it was all there waiting and celebrating. It’s it’s you know, it’s everyone’s victory, not just mine. And uh yeah, that’s uh with everyone on the team. It’s just just so special to be able to do that with with some genuine friends, you know. Right. Speech or champagne first. Speech first then crescendo. I just want to say thank you to everyone as always. You know this this sort of thing isn’t possible without the team. And uh yeah, it was for sure a full team effort to get in that break today and uh team effort on the road. you know, directing me and uh giving me bottles just just comes down to to these little margins and uh yeah, that’s what we’ve been doing perfectly here this race and throughout the season. So, just massive thank you to everyone and uh hopefully this goes a small way to pay your back and yeah, thank you. Hey, last warning. Go. Isn’t it us.
