I just bought a secondhand bike and was super happy (Look 785 Huez RS rim, Dura-Ace R9100, 6.7kg). I was cleaning it and just noticed this crack on the bottom bracket…and now I feel devastated. I don't think the owner was aware of the crack, and he was riding the bike with it. Is a carbon repair feasible for this kind of crack?

If you bought it from the original owner, the manufacturer may offer a warranty. Start with that, and then ask your LBS for an opinion. Without removing the bottom bracket and really inspecting it, it’s hard to give a definitive answer.
Likely yes.
Bottom bracket has tons of carbon around it, not sure how catastrophic a failure would be. (My guess is you will experience BB misaligned, creaks, uneven wear).
Unlikely that this is fixable. Fixes only really work on the middle of a tube, not near junctions or entry points. Maybe try warranty, since this is likely caused by a not round hole when installing BB?
Yes
Yep, you are definitely screwed unfortunately…
The heart of the bike is broken. A BB will never fit correctly with a crack like that. Contacting the original owner to explore warranty options is probably your best chance for success.
100%. Cracked bb shell
yup 🙁
That’s a very repairable crack. Contact Calfee Designs in CA or Bike Mechanic Rob in GA. (Assuming you can’t get any warranty love via the original owner as you said.)
