There are many Iranians held prisoners in France with charges of terrorism, this is hostage diplomacy. I do not fear for the guy’s life but he must being having a tough time, both him and the family…
Let’s hope for good! Meanwhile Iran is off limits for bike packing I guess…
France could actively engage in an exchange of prisoners. Happened with an Italian journalist few month ago that managed to go back home.
