Wondering what the ballpark or average labor charge per hour is for a decent shop in the western US?
In other words, doing this job is going to cost a certain amount in parts and consumables,
and will take___ number of hours at ___ $ per hour.
Thanks!

$100-$150 seems about average, it varies slightly from region to region.
$100~150 is typical. A shop should typically be charging about 3-4x the mechanic’s hourly rate to cover overhead and profit, so it varies a bit by local cost of living and labor rates.
Northern AZ here. My shop is $115 an hour.
Thanks for replies. I’ve been out of the loop for a while so I wanted to see where things were currently. I guess with the prevalence of hydraulic brakes, carbon fiber, electronics shifting etc. shops have finally had to come up in what they are paying mechanics
$100/hour is base rate on labor for any service these days
$175 for bikes that came from our shop, $200 for bikes purchased elsewhere. We are an premium ebike speciaty store
Maui here, $129/hr for regular bikes, $169/hr for ebikes.
