The route to my workplace has a lot of ups and downs on the way and it may be because I’m a beginner but the climbing sections are really tiring and I’m struggling to get up the hills. Any advice?
I’m 62 and didn’t get serious about riding until I was in my late 50s. This year I started doing a hill day with a group. Just repeatedly climbing and descending the same hill via different routes for about an hour and a half.
First time was terrible. Now there is only one very steep route that I stress about but even that has gotten faster. That’s after only 8 weeks of once a week climbing.

Yes. Climb more hills. It’s that simple.

Good luck.
