we’re in Burgas the city on the beach no one talks about walking along the Black Sea coast it feels alive here cafes full of people and the sound of the wave is tempting you to dive in come with us for the first time as we see what Burgas in Bulgaria is all about at the moment yeah at 24 25 24 25 you can see some sailing boats out there right wow it’s busy down there wow well let’s go and head out and check out the beach first because we’ve been dying to see the beach here so we are at Burgas Beach and we’re just walking down to the main coastline we’re gonna take you guys with us the beach is beautiful you just see the sea through the beach it is about 24 at the moment uh right guys this is Burgas Beach Bulgaria absolutely beautiful and I can’t see the beach yet but the water is amazing hi haha sorry OK Water Lane oh man haha haha so the palm trees all got damaged for the winter oh no I think they’re new I think they’re new that’s why they wrapped there’s people down on the beach but they got they’re putting clothes oh someone’s in the water look see some girls in the water there she looks like she’s freezing she’s got a long sleeve top on but how does that work yeah she’s still in the water though mummy page what’s up ladies keep it rolling there otherwise I’ll have it go on mum says keep it rolling or else you’ll have it no aha the cat the mom cat who’s sitting there looking John it’s quite windy isn’t it the same windy Beach Central right right guys we are on Burgas Beach and at the moment it’s spring but what we were saying is that pretty much most Bulgarians I just starting to get used to the heat it’s still cold to them to us it’s about 25 which is hot but to them it’s still freezing so you can see there’s a lot of people as we’re walking by they still got their thick jackets on they’ve got like jeans on they are fully dressed and literally it isn’t that cold for us anyway but this is the beach guys it is absolutely stunning it’s crazy man how tall am I getting now bro he’s actually he’s taller than me now I’m 5 9 he’s 5 9 we measured him the other day 5 9 oh OK he’s my height so what’s going on then oh the fish is he’s still tall 5 9 though 13 he’s gonna be 6 foot straight yeah would you like some more of that I know my boy hahaha I knew it I’ll get things over there oh no they’re lawn mowers ha ha ha oh they’re selling lawn mowers as well so a lot of things along here isn’t open yet is it um well I think some are I think they’re just getting ready for they’re still building lots of structures up there the coffee stop was pretty good so then you’ve got a restaurant here which is um obviously at the moment it seems to be a lot of local Bulgarians in here um but it is busy there’s a lot of things to do these are the prices you got some deals of the day going on here and then that’s the cat in there a lot of people just chilling and then you’ve got a cute little water little thing and then cats are everywhere so cats are always waiting for food but yeah you’ve got a nice little water water thing here going on there and all of this is right next to the beach I think this is a cycle path but not quite sure I see a lot of cyclists obviously going along this path so um but it’s not really defined for cyclists really so you’ve got loads of people walking along the path and you’ve also got cyclists coming up as well so if you do come with the kids just be mindful it’s very busy this is busy now in the summer I can imagine it’s heaving with people what’s that the prices the prices they’re not saying they are they said that they are taking the table is down there it’s all tourist by look um 6 lever for small that’s pretty much British prices so more actually I know 40 lever £7 bubble chai there’s British prices yeah yeah man bubble chai Charlie no no the same down there you are yeah down there you’re definitely paying you’re paying for the um for the convenience to be by the beach and you’re paying to uh yeah to basically be around other British people I’m sure there is hahaha I’m sure there’s British people kind of intertwined in all this mess so in Bulgaria um we’ve all so far we expected it to be charged double in the tourist spots and um if you’re away from the tourist spots in the countryside you pay a lot less but you seem to get a lot more in terms of um the locals so yeah it’s a you’ll pay more so you got this little joint here which is called Barley Island by the name I would assume that it’s an Indian uh and so a lot of people are in there it’s very packed very busy and you can see right through the beach is over the other side which is just like yeah amazing you cannot get you literally can’t get a better view than that really oh you’ve got some volleyball courts over there so people obviously come down here oh you’ve got bean bags the the bean bag crew that you gotta pay for Chris says ha ha ha oh my gosh I wonder how much a bean bag is and you know it’s probably like five left ha ha ha come on man so guys as Chris was saying when you come down to places like this especially when it’s touristy expect to pay double in some cases expect to pay triple what you’d pay in the UK yeah right um there’s lots to do at the moment it’s a holiday so um there’s loads and loads of people down here the sea looks actually gorgeous it’s beautiful and the season hasn’t even started yet but they have got a fair yeah playground we make it down there and the market yeah and by the way we’re not complaining about the price we’re just telling you what the prices are because it’s what it is you got all day you expect to pay more so that’s it we’re not saying I’m just saying expect it to be different yeah don’t come here if it’s gonna be cheap come here with more money in your pocket yeah exactly oh there we go Caribbean I’m assuming that is the Caribbean ha ha ha yeah and again we got the bean bag crew over there and it looks very caribbeanish to be fair and again it’s by the beach can’t go wrong you know by the beach in a Caribbean store eating drinking and enjoying a beach that looks like that guys yeah nothing better duh ha ha ha ha Chris has joined the Bulgarian crew ha ha ha duh I wanna go to beach we’re gonna go now cause there isn’t really much else down that way is there apart from more food stores it’s very themed isn’t it yeah all the places along here is very themed right so this what we were saying places like this isn’t open yet it seems like they’re waiting until after the or nearer to the next bank holiday right yeah where oh may end of may the summer bank holiday yeah end of may yeah so still very busy though we’ve walked all the way down yep to the other end of the beach and we’re gonna chill here for a minute make the kids just have enjoy a bit of time on the beach and um yeah it is just gorgeous you’ve got these bean bag areas that I think if you buy a drink you can use the bean bags free and then you’ve got the decks which are over here that’s pay for and I think you do need to pay for it but I don’t know because the place isn’t open yet so no if it’s that part is there oh yeah OK that’s pay for it yeah or those women sitting there probably yeah it’s always it’s always someone like you go and sit down thinking oh it’s free and then like someone comes running up to you oh two two left two lever two lever so it’s more than that I think is it yeah so these are the decks here and this is the beach guys British beach in June okay oh shut up man be nice right so we’re just walking along we’re gonna walk along the beach and show you guys this amazing view it’s probably easier to walk in the dark once it’s wet the sand oh can I give you my phone back it’s pretty easy to walk in this one the sand is like it’s like crushed up shells it’s not very smooth but yeah and then you’ve got this side which is black is that why they call it the Black Sea I don’t know because underneath it’s black sand I don’t know probably look at this probably look at that oh it’s the colour of it it’s glistening yeah yeah it’s like it’s got diamonds in it so oh wow it’s just amazing down here and I think that is why the sand is actually black underneath I think it might be you know huh it is black sand inside the water yeah maybe I should just go and let’s see I don’t know if I should get wet I think it dries I think it’s right ha ha ha no I don’t think because we haven’t got another another pair in the car don’t you match your shoes with so I don’t that ha ha ha ha ha boy anyway I think there’s nothing better than being by the coast with your family and just chilling right yup come back come down here when it’s there’s nothing to do we were just now about two hours away in Veliko Tarnovo and this beach Burgas is uh it’s about 2 and a two and a/2 hours away from belichatanover so um it’s beautiful though um we need a bit hard surface to get the drone up and I can’t see one here get the drain up or along here on here be like little rock yeah little stone yeah so sand is like ground it up rock essentially and then that’s where glass comes from yeah so your glass and windows come from sand it’s weird isn’t it this is little shiny bits that’s a glass they extract all of that from sand ready wait a minute Ava I’m Nessa oh man wow you got enough sending that man we’ll go over here let’s film this thing so I think they’re gonna rebuild this thing I’m not sure what it’s gonna be it’s probably gonna be another another cafe or another bar on the beach very very busy more busy with Bulgarians uh I haven’t really seen much English people yet German people yet or Dutch uh we got asked earlier for um oh it was it the the glasses made a dent in your head anyway uh we got asked earlier for a picture oh but oh yeah not sure why I think maybe because of our colour maybe probably yeah I think they’re quite fascinated by our colour over here so um we got stopped earlier for a photo which we don’t mind you know it’s just what it is if you’re different to most people over here then of course expect to be stopped and you know questioned or asked or stared at yep don’t really get stares do you no yeah there is a lot look at all these lot man they’re all staring man come on ha ha really like really I’m so cool ha ha ha ha it’s expected exactly right Chris is just trying to elude from the from the from what is actually happening yes we are getting a lot of stairs but it is what it is don’t forget guys if you do come to Burgas bring cash with you because we were gonna buy the kids some ice creams earlier and they didn’t take card so remember if you’re coming down if you’re coming to Bulgaria and you’re enjoying the place just have some cash just in case they don’t take card okay
