I’ve been looking at buying a new bike, haven’t much experience with vintage bikes before. This was listed for 150euro. I’ve been looking through old posts on here and was wondering how does this stacks up. Seems clean enough but that’s only through these two photos. In general, would this be potentially worth meeting up in person to see it?

It looks like it was lightly ‘restored’, including replacing the cranks. This is about what people ask for a bike that’s been freshened up. If you’re looking for something to tinker with and upgrade I’d probably look for a slightly crustier race/road touring bike for a bit cheaper. If you want something to ride without much work this could be an option. Then just check if the bearings, brakes and gears are in good shape and that it fits

I wouldn’t take it. I am by no means a peugeot expert, but to me it seems to be a mix and match bike. The frame seems to be fillet brazed, while literally everything else points on a cheap model from early 70ies. Besides cottered cranks are a maintenance pain.

Nope nope nope. This bike also looks like it has 24″ wheels. I.e. kids bike.
People throw away bikes way better than this.
This seller has a lot of nerve posting a $5 bike for $150.

Not worth it

I can’t see the price, but if it’s more than $50 it’s not worth it.
All Peugeot bikes except for the very top-of-the-line model, were all low-end junk.
