Hey all -> I am looking to upgrade my gravel frame from a steel all-city super pro to a carbon bike and keep most/all parts. I am looking for the following:

  • higher stack / endurance geo
  • 45mm clearance min (50+ ideally)
  • mechanical brake compatible routing (klampers)
  • internal frame storage

I am leaning towards the Rodeo TD 4.2 but don’t know anyone riding one. The new checkpoint is also perhaps a good match. Had been eying the MOG also but 4K+ is a bit steep.

Would love input or suggestions.

  1. Fuck trek.

I own a flanimaal ti 5 and love it. The Trail donkey is a great versatile bike.

Trail Donkey has been established as a very capable bike. I would be riding one now had the timing of their latest release worked for me, but I ended up going with a bike that was available for my race.

Rodeo Labs was way ahead of the curve on getting big tires, capable gravel bikes that can be super versatile. The Trek is a fine bike, but between those two I wouldn’t even have to think twice.
