What a great write up on your website! I’m surprised you didn’t run into more cyclists, I did East to West starting in April a few years back and we saw cyclists every day. When I stayed at Jeffrey City hostel 3 years ago in June I was lucky to find an empty bed. Why didn’t you stay at the hostel in Mitchell? (I thought I recognized the bear spray, I was gifted one also from a friend in Montana.)

thanks, I plan on retiring two summers from now and riding Oregon to Washington D.C. with a pitstop in Iowa (where I live for a rest). So a lot of the route is what I am thinking.
