I’m currently at my starting point. Big Ben, this is my starting point. I am going to London to Paris. I’m ready. I’m ready for this. All right, boss. How you doing? Cycling to Paris on that. You’re cycling to where? Paris on that? Wow. Yeah. How long? 3 days. Oh, 3 days. 3 days. Yes. This is my sign point. Big Ben. Yeah. And then that bike is over 30 years old. Do you think Do you think I can make it? You can make it. See? Faith. Faith in humanity. Have you Have you done that before? No. This is your first time? My first time? Yeah. Okay. So, I’m uploading onto um social media, you know. And you are excited for that? I’m excited. Yes. Here nice and early. Yeah. A little bit of traffic, but I need I need as much time as possible. Can’t wait. Three days long. And I’m off. Just left Big Ben. You probably can hear the bells. I am off. And I’ve gone the wrong way already. I think I’ve got my um I’ve got my earpiece in so I can hear what direction it’s going. See, police cars are red down here. Must be Sydney London police. I don’t know. We just hit our first traffic light. I’m going to swing a GoPro around and then start my journey. Guess what? You’re coming with me. I’m cycling through London and you’re coming with me on the time lapse. London was nice and easy. It was flat cycle path just very busy. It took around about 1 hour and 25 minutes to get out of London, about 30 miles. But this is when he’ll start. So enjoy the time lapse with the music. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] That’s the first time I’ve ever witnessed that. I stopped. But we’re currently 12 miles into my journey in one hour. So, it’s not too bad. But I’m low. We’re nearly out of London, though. So, we’re doing all right. We’re doing all right. Estimated time arrival is 2:30. Just made a stop because I need a toilet break cuz I’ve drank so much water. um pathways like pave pathways to this. Yeah. So, I’m hoping I don’t get a puncher, but I’m just stopping for a break because I need a toilet and I need to um have some snacks. I’ve just done 26 miles, so I’m stopping. I need some raisins, some um dates and all that just fill my energy levels up. Um, estimated time arrival to New Haven is uh 2:40. So, we’ve actually made gain progress because the original time was uh 251. I’m just going to have some dates quickly. Oh my god, this feels so good. [Applause] You know when you get like very hungry, you can eat anything. That’s what’s like for me with sugar. P sugar. This is probably the first hill I’ve done on my journey. 30 mi in. Another 40 to go. We got this. Pulled over. Um because I’ve done like a 45 miles all together so far and it’s quite peaceful here and I like it. There’s a train over there. It’s just parked there which I’m want to see. Um but no, I’m in Sussex now. So I’m on the right end as you see. I’m sweaty. Got my drink with the electrolytes in. They are banging actually. But it’s nice to hear the birds just to chill out for a little bit. So I’ve got over an hour to like burn really. I’ve got like an hour and a half to actually chill which not just in a place called Henfield. Um I’m at the um plow. Got a glass of Coke. Oh, that feels so nice. I got cheese and chips. Oh, [Music] mate. Done it. I’ve done it after 7 hours. 7 hours. 8 hours even. I’ve done it. And I’m lacquered on the side. Okay. Hello. Just your passport, please. There you go. There you go. Your meal ticket is in there as well. Oh, thank you very much. Thank you. It’s all right. Uh where do I go from here? Uh my colleagues will show you. Okay. Number eight. Number eight. You can. Oh no. I’ve done enough today. [Music] I’ve made it to the first apartment and it’s all right. It’s not too bad for £40. I’m guessing that’s my bed. And then that’s his shower. We’re currently on route on day two to London to Paris. Raising money for mental health and my expected time of arrival is 2:47. That’s 5 hours and 37 minutes of driving, cycling. Hopefully, I can get that down. The roads, the pathways, they are all smooth. And believe it or not, cars, they stop here. and pedestrians as well. But we’ll see what today brings. Um hopefully there won’t be any Yeah, bug. There won’t be there won’t be any problems. The only thing is I’ve not had a big breakfast or anything like that. So I need to be careful. But today’s just about being chilled because there’s no time limit. Just a recovery cycle run. Really only 60 mi worth. I’m taking it easy. It’s not going to be massive hill gains or anything like that. It’s pretty much smooth flat paths. No kidding. When I saw the sign, I got excited. I swear this is like an old railway track to Paris or something like that. Someone please tell me in the comments. But you know what? It was very gorgeous. It was beautiful. The birds chirping. It was just as flat as anything. No speed bumps, no bumps, just pure cycling pathways. But here’s another time lapse. So, you know what that means? Enjoy the music. [Music] [Music] Heat up here. Heat up here. I like this bit because it’s nice and calm, relaxing, and just green and birds chirping. Here’s my bike. But you know what? On this path, the next thing that amazed me was this old signal box. They turned into like a shop. And you know what? I had um scrambled egg or no I had an omelette with a glass coke of course. Then as I cycled polar back now for five minutes I found this skate park. Of course boys being boys was just going to go on a ramp. This is where I actually lost the bolt. Here’s the first person point of view. You know what? This was quite a bit of fun. You know what I mean? Just something different just on the ramps. I didn’t go crazy but I did lose a bolt to my bag rack on the back of my bike. Saturday bungee um called um it to the bike was cold place but it was fun. It was worth it. Something different. And then I continued my journey for the rest of day two just to a um town and then gradually got to um Gears. Unfortunately, I didn’t film any content so boohoo me. But you know what? It was a nice day for day two. Nice views and it was nice and easy. I think I done about 60 60 miles so or something. a bit different compared to the UK. 10 miles less, but it was more flat and more easy going. Once I got to Gears, I did just um have a pint and a nice kebab and food and all that. It’s just needed. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, I reckon this is probably the best kebab I’ve ever had. Better than all kebab shops in the United Kingdom. The chips were nice. Got them fries here, but they’re so nice and just potatoes really. by this burger. When you’ve done 62 miles on the bike and you’re hungry, you eat anything. And I went big. I had a cheeseburger. Oh my god, it was juicy as anything. Juicy like your mom. I just take it and then the mayonnaise. The um cheese as well as Now look at this steak sandwich. It’s pretty much like a beef patty in a um some sort of bread. Oh my god. I needed it. I needed carbs, man. Carbs. Carbs. carbs. I needed it. I need over 500 g of carbs. And you know what? I think this meal maybe just hit the spot. But oh my god, it was delicious. It was juicy. It was needed. Mayonnaise as a sauce. Burger sauce has the sauce as well. This was salty. [Music] It’s currently 9 9:00 a.m. and this is day three. Cycling in London to Paris. It’s been a very fun journey. Um challenging cuz today’s the hottest day so far. temperatures up to like 35°. Um, so we’re just going to we’re just going to see how it goes. Take it easy. But the estimated time arrival is 1:30. Um, I’ve got a flight to catch back tonight at half 7. And when I’m in Paris, I’ll be giving this bike away for free or try to if anyone wants it. I’ve just got to keep telling myself one mile at a time. That’s all it is. It’s hard because it’s hot and it’s only like 9:30. But it’ll keep pushing cuz at the end of the day it is about your mind. Always about your mind. Not going to lie. I think if I had a proper bike, I could have done this with these. But this bike, oh my god, going up hills, even if it’s a small incline, that is killing my legs. Like, you know what I say? No pain, no gain. So, I’m going to come back like proper buff legs. You know what I mean? But no, it’s been good. You know, today I’m just about sucking in the atmosphere. last day. I got loads of time to be spare. So, I’ve got time to have breaks. I ain’t got much of a time limit. I haven’t got to be at the airport before about 5:00. So, if I get to Paris at 2:00, I still got 3 hours before I got to leave. You know what I mean? Um, luckily the airport’s only 8 miles away from Paris, so it’s not too far. But I can’t wait to get home, get in my bed, have a shower, and jump in the swim to the pool. That’s what I can’t wait for. I’m 14 miles into my journey so far. Hour and a half, and Google Maps told me to go down this road for 3 miles. Um, it’s not very good when you’re on the bike like this. Um, but if Google Maps says so, Google Maps is right. I prefer the road and a paved path than this. But is what it is. It’s not too bad. The view is amazing, though. I’m going to shut me up. So, it’s nice. I’m going to take a break at the 2hour mark for about 20 minutes, half hour and then I’m just going to carry on for the rest of my journey to the Eiffel Tower. See you there. Google Maps need to sort this out. This is not a cycling path. Like just get lost. How am I meant to get to Paris? It’s like this for like one mile. It is slowing out phones. It’s just I can’t see either with these sunglasses on. I can’t see. I don’t look where is it like the path like it’s just what the hell. Oh my god. H get me home. Oh [ __ ] hell. Jesus Christ. I don’t know what these are. I’m hoping I won’t get the P word. I’m not saying it because that will happen. When I was in um DB, I met some other cyclists. Proper bikes, uh proper gear. They got a support van. I’m just me with a backpack and a bag on the back of my on the back of my bike. Uh but there’s there’s very nice. I was from Kent. Uh but they gave me some extra foods and all that. I’m grateful for a golden soup with flatjack. Yum. But I do fancy a pint of Coke. I’m not going to lie. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been craving. Or a lemonade. You know what? Any fluids cuz I’m thirsty. [Music] Oh my god. 3.2 miles later, we are on the main road somewhere in the French countryside. Like look at this road. Just look at it. It’s beautiful. It’s smooth. You don’t get none of this in Great Britain. Oh my god. I can go and we look. No potholes either. Uh we are currently 20 m 23 miles away from Paris. We’re nearly there. We’re nearly there. 23 miles in. Just having a break. Having a Coke at Kabon Bakery with just 17 miles to go, about an hour and a half of cycling. This took me on this route, Google Maps, uh along the river. I don’t know where this is. I’ll find out after. I’ll let you know. Uh because I’m just following Google Maps. I’ve actually not pre-planned any routes whatsoever. It’s all Google Maps. But absolute saints So the way he Nearly there. London to Paris completed it, mate. What a journey. Currently here, just in the park. I’m just going to find someone to give the bike away to because I can’t take it home. It’s not worth it. But the bike’s going to have a journey. What lang what? What language in English in London? English. Yeah. Do you want that bike for free? Yes. I’ve cycled from London to Paris on this bike. I’m giving it away for free. Free parking. Free free parking.
