well not sure if your GF would like this… degrease it at least. wouldnt be healthy for her.
You will probably need a dub bb for that crank. Chain line may be off too if that’s a boost chainring.
1x is best with a clutched rear derailleur. Gearing might be difficult depending on rear cassette.
A 9s chain might fit slightly loose on a N/W 12s chainring.
