I meant to order a 60tpi version of the Mezcal but I've ended up getting the 120tpi version.
I've ridden Maxxis forever and got lost in the Vittoria Gargon but thought Id got the right thing XC Trail TNT (and assumed the Bikeinn website copy was sloppy hence it having the 120tpi in the description)
I'm Racing the Silk Road Mountain Race in August. Seems like the 60TPI version would have been my preferred choice but is going to be very to get with my time constraints. (I work away from home and dont have a ton of time at home pre race)
I'll be ridding a Kona Sutra Ltd, and have stock race rekons on it right now. Which are fine but a little slow hence swapping to the Mezcals…
Just wondering what people's thoughts are here. How much of a drop in resistance am I going to get on a 120tpi tire?
