Don’t know if trek is aware if this. 2 sepperate bikes brand new out of the box had this plastic party shattered. These are verve 2 mediums. This part takes a lot of work to replace. Not sure why it’s necessary to put the cables through the headset in the first place, but I’m sure trek has a reason

they put the cables through the headset because it looks sleek. Form over function, from a maintenance standpoint it’s a pain.
Probably shipping damage more than quality control. But fuck Trek. That kind of cable routing is maddening. Hopefully they give you a labor credit along with the warranty part.
