  1. To me this looks perfect, small with some straps to keep it from bouncing around all over the place. Just super hesitant with a new brand that has everything as a preorder. Anyone know anything about these people?

Why not go with something proven like USWE?

I switched to them earlier this year and it’s awesome. Zero bounce. Yes you get back sweat but that’s going to happen with any pack that doesn’t bounce around

Looks like a pain. I like my hip pack as it’s pretty easy to access pockets vs an actual harness. The only positive I see with this is that the hose is located in a better spot.

Yeah, I do. I bought the 14.4 when it came out. It’s really good. It really does suck the weight onto your hips. I have an evoc 1.5L bag that’s my daily use, but I bought this for cold-weather rides and for day-long summer rides. I like having a puffy for the cold in case of emergency, and for summer rides without a water source this is the only way to carry enough water. I’ve also used mine for scrambling and hiking, and it’s superb—great balance and just enough space. Having the option to carry 4L of water is huge.

I will say—on my very early model, the straps and hose are just a little too short even at 5’11”. They’ve since fixed that. Arctos’ customer service is phenomenal—like Outbound Lighting. I emailed on a Sunday and heard back from the CEO inside an hour, sending me a new hose immediately and a whole new pack when their next batch shows up. Hard to argue with that.

    It’s a very function-over-form, well-made pack.
