Hey guys I'm new to the MTB scene recently got one for exploring and commuting to work. I recently got a flat tire on my way to work today. This is my third time getting a flat. First time the shop just exchanged me bikes cause I was having shifting issues. This bike works fine well it did before the flat. I see people saying I can just pour the stuff inside the rim and pump it up? Is this true I can't find any videos of people doing that way. I can't take the valve off either. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

  1. You need to do a tubeless conversion first before you can use that. You need rims that are tubeless ready, they need to be taped with tubeless tape, you need tubeless valve stems, and you need tubeless ready tires.

It goes in the tire for tubeless, inside the tube if you have one. You’ll need a valve core remover if you have a tube, I think one comes with the box. I use this product on my commuter gravel bike, prevents all manner of micro punctures from stuff like sharp rocks and glass shards in the street. Not sure how well it would far with a big puncture like you’ve pictured but I’ve seen some videos where it works somewhat in those.

That sounds awesome this flat tire crap is BS you think MTB tires would be able to handle crap like this.

This stuff is for putting inside inner tubes.
I run this on my commuter and so far it’s been great.

So furthering this. It’s an unpopular opinion but I’ve gone back to tubes. I just found going tubesless was more hassle than it’s worth. For me at least.

Having destroyed a set of carbon rims with stans sealant which contained ammonia on my road bike I started using latex based sealant on all my bikes which only lasts 3-6 months inside the tyre. Cleaning it off bikes is awful especially once it dries.
Doesnt stop big punctures and youll still need to carry a tube if you do big rides anyway.

Bought a bulk bunch of TPU tubes and they seems to be working pretty well at the moment.

First your tires are not tubeless. Second that’s a good thing as this is for inner tubes. Muc off sealant is terrible. Go tubeless and buy tubeless sealant.

If you remove the valve core you can pour in any tire sealant.

It saved me from some flats to have some sealant in my tubes on my commuter bikes.
