Le Belge a devancé Jonathan Milan d’un cheveu.

I don’t have the feeling that it’s very tense anyway. We sometimes have starts where we see riders trying to jump the curbs a bit to reposition themselves for a possible attack. No, we’ve had more nervous starts. In addition, I think that on the front row, we’ve seen, we still have quite a few sprinters’ teammates. When you have sprinters’ teammates on the front row, it sets the tone. You seem to be saying, there’s not much point in attacking. Here we go, we’ll have the answer right away. Bruno Armirail. After a few minutes of delay, time for everyone to help each other out, time for Axel Laurance, in particular, to change his rear wheel. Christian Prudhomme officially launches this third stage . Direction Dunkirk today. A stage intended for sprinters. Only one difficulty listed on the route of this stage: a hill classified as fourth category. The Côte de Cassel, Mount Cassel, will be climbed in the finale. An intermediate sprint will take place near Isbergues, where the famous Grand Prix d’Isbergues is held every year. Leaving Valenciennes, head northwest, not southwest, towards Denain. We’ll head towards the island of Seclin before reaching Isbergues. We’ll pass very close to Hazebrouck and Saint-Omer to reach Cassel, then Bergues, before the finish in Dunkirk. So, this is a stage intended for sprinters. Today, on paper, it might be one of the easiest stages of this Tour de France in terms of elevation. What’s Jonas Rickaert doing? That’s not an attack. What’s Jonas Rickaert doing? He doesn’t want to get cold. They’re going to ride fast up front. No, I think he wants to get a bit ahead. Mohoric isn’t Lenny, is he? No, on the other hand, Mohoric, I would have joined you on Mohoric, maybe, but more than Lenny Martinez. Or Rickaert, in my opinion, he wanted to get a bit ahead. He must have family, right? No, to stop for a physical need. There are too many spectators there. It looks like Mohoric, behind. It looks like Mohoric. It looks a lot like Matej Mohoric. That would be interesting to have a Mohoric, for example, at the front. Rickaert will get up. Yes, Rickaert. No, he’ll get in the wheel. And then, go on, my boy. And then, it’s behind the others who are riding. Jonas Rickaert who will take his place in the peloton. Jonas Rickaert, like Silvan Dillier, who’s going to be called upon today for his sprint. So there’s only Matej Mohoric left, here in the picture, alone in the lead. He’s stuck. He’s stuck.
He’s stuck. Look, he’s only 19 seconds ahead. The peloton is riding at a fast pace and is catching up to Matej Mohoric. The mechanic loves small chainrings. He says small chainrings. There, there’s a real mechanical problem. To tighten the stem. Elmar Reinders, victim of a problem. Here we go. Yes. We’re going to have a great day together. We’re going to televise a training session for you today. But on the other hand, when we get to the final, everyone will be fresh. Yes, but that’s never a good sign. And on top of that, there’s a tailwind. This means that riders who are even in 100th position, with a headwind, have the possibility of moving up. This will bring a lot of nervousness to the peloton. For the moment, the nervousness is not really palpable. I hope that everything goes well. We obviously hope that there will be no yellow cards and above all, we hope that there will be no crash in Dunkirk. And there, it’s still blowing. It’s blowing hard. It’s blowing and look at the back, we still have the presence of several teammates of Jonas Vingegaard with Wout Van Aert who is there, calm, Matteo Jorgenson, calm, Victor Campenaerts. Pénard. They are at the back. Afterwards, there is a crosswind, but we know it, we remind you, there will be a moment where we will change direction slightly and we will really take the wind in our face. I think we want to reassure ourselves on Jonathan Milan’s side. We did not discuss the first sprint, we were absent from the debates yesterday as well. Today, it is a catch-up session, but a little more than that. There must be a little bit of pressure also for Jonathan Milan. Objective to test ourselves for the first time here, while look on the other side, it is Mathieu Van der Poel who is catching up with his sprinter, Jasper Philipsen. The green jersey who is there, wedged in the wheel of his teammates a little further back. Mathieu Van der Poel who went too fast for Jasper Philipsen. We lost him there. He is in the slipstream. Intermarché – Wanty with Kaden Groves, one kilometer. One kilometer. This intermediate sprint, Biniam Girmay’s teammates are also working hard. Quinn Simmons is moving aside, who will hand over to Tom Skujins, the Latvian champion. 20 points to take. 20 points, that’s important. Consonni there. Theuns who was elbowing Kaden Groves and Bryan Coquard who will… Yes, who will go for his little sprint too. Yes, with Girmay, with Turgis. It’s jostling with… Oh dear! Theuns! Theuns, here he is, the first card. Here we go for this intermediate sprint, the Isbergues sprint. With the big job, it’s Hugo Page. Jasper Philipsen’s fall on this intermediate sprint at Isbergues. It’s terrible and it fell for other riders too on the shoulder, over there. Jasper Philipsen’s crash, we said it, there was tension. Nothing had happened until now. And it’s Jasper Philipsen. His head hit too. Oh my! Very badly hurt. The winner of the first stage in Lille, Jasper Philipsen on the ground. It’s terrible. He was, unfortunately, cut there. His shoulder is affected. He’s completely burned. It’s been rubbing since the start of this intermediate sprint. There are other riders who made mistakes. They fell into the ditch. We saw some who also threw themselves into the ditch on the right. I think we understand. We understand that he won’t be able to restart. Look at the rate that… He’s trying, but he’s also very burned. But he hit his head. For an intermediate sprint. We saw it yesterday, the intermediate sprint was close, but this one, it was already close a few hundred meters before. What’s going to happen? Because there’s no problem there. It’s Bryan who should touch. The 45. Laurens Rex. And who moves completely out of position and cuts a little. He didn’t do it on purpose. No. I admit, I had my eyes fixed on Hugo Page who was making an incredible effort. Meanwhile, it’s Bryan Coquard who comes to touch Laurens Rex and who moves out of position as a result, Bryan Coquard. Look, there’s the explanation of the text there. Between a teammate of Jasper Philipsen and Bryan Coquard. It’s Jonathan Milan who went to get the 20 points during that time, who went to win this intermediate sprint. Paul Penhöet who takes second place. It’s official, Philipsen’s retirement. It’s Kaden Groves who will become number one. We were talking about it in this Alpecin team, the work of Kaden Groves as a pilot fish. We thought that maybe in a few days, after the mountain ranges, if the green jersey is not at its best, it would be Kaden Groves who would sprint. He did not expect Kaden Groves to become the leader in the third sprint of the Tour de France. It’s never good to hang around at the back while at the front, Tim Wellens went off, and fell into the middle of the pack, not even completely at the back. There was a big wave. With Aurélien Paret-Peintre, with Einer Rubio and with Alexey Lutsenko. It all got a little tangled up. Well, nothing serious, everything’s fine. That’s for sure. And Tim Wellens. Meanwhile, Tim Wellens went off alone, like that, 38 kilometers from the finish. What’s the point? What for, gentlemen? What is Tim Wellens doing attacking at that moment? We said it, there will be a Mountain Grand Prix, a point to be won. In the mountains classification, Tim Wellens is two points behind. The leader, his teammate, Tadej Pogacar has three, but the climber, he’s still not there right away. The climber’s summit is 30.9 kilometers from the finish. He looked at the map. He said to himself: I’m going, guys. I’ll leave you. No, he asked for permission. He said: Don’t worry, we’re not preparing an attack on Tadej Pogacar. I’m the one who’s going to get a little point there. He thanks you too. Thanks guys. Thanks guys. But in terms of Grand Prix de la Montagne won, in terms of climbers who have moved into first position. In the third category. Yeah. But no, in terms of a climber who has moved into the lead alone. But if it’s not you, then it’s my brother. In any case, what’s certain is that the polka dot jersey will be with the best. At UAE. No, but it will be for Tim Wellens. It will be for Tim Wellens, who will have passed more climbers in first position than Tadej Pogacar. Okay. Since Tim Wellens will have passed the Côte du Haut-Pichon in the lead and Mont Cassel in the lead. Don’t throw your bike, Tim. Don’t throw your bike on the finish line. Tadej Pogacar will have passed more than just the Côte de Saint-Etienne-aux-Monts in first position, quite simply. What a performance by Tim Wellens, though. Tim Wellens in the lead. In Cassel. Tim Wellens assured of wearing the mountains jersey tomorrow. He will be the best climber in this Tour de France, tied on points with his leader. And there he is, getting back up, you can imagine. In a race, you have a 1 minute 40 second lead with 30 kilometers to go. You want to take advantage of the situation. No, Tim Wellens, he had the peloton’s agreement. We said: We’ll let you go. On the other hand, you’ll wait for us a little higher up. And that’s what he’s doing. He’s getting back up. And in less than four or five kilometers, he’ll be caught by the front of the peloton, which is still on the cobblestones of Kassel. Come on, 27 kilometers and in a moment, Tim Wellens will be caught by the peloton. Who set off. To catch him there. Clearly. Yeah, there, we see in line, in single file. He gained 1’40” in 4 kilometers. He lost 1’40” in 3 kilometers. He’s going to thank everyone. Thanks, guys. Tadej Pogacar is there in Tim Wellens’ wheel. Jonas Vingegaard is also there in second position on the other side of the road, on the far left, where Remco Evenepoel occupies the right-hand side. There, the leaders are in second position in the peloton. We definitely don’t want to get trapped, dragged along in the pack behind. We really want to stay at the front. It’s certain that if we had had the same wind as yesterday in this beautiful straight line, look at that with this little wind pushing from the southwest, the radar, it would flash there on the left. And then, we wouldn’t have such a compact peloton. It’s true that most of the time, in this region, we have a west wind, a dominant west, southwest, northwest, rarely due north. Today, it’s due north. So, headwind. Quinn Simmons, still at the head of the Lidl-Trek train. Next to us, we have the Israel Premier Tech. Luke Durbridge is continuing to do the work for Jayco-Alula. We’re obviously positioned with Dylan Groenewegen in the best positions. We’re moving up towards Soudal – Quick Step to keep Remco Evenepoel safe and to take Tim Merlier towards the sprint. And the Intermarché – Wanty team is also there with Biniam Girmay. The number of shoulder collisions. I looked carefully at different positions in the peloton, the number of shoulder collisions there were there in the space of less than a minute. And that’s going to be the case. It’s true that we would have practically preferred a tailwind, turns. When you have turns, the peloton stretches out and a rider who is in 100th position can no longer move up. There, with a headwind in a straight line, you’re even last in the peloton. By rubbing a little, you can move up and that brings danger. You weren’t listening to the radio. No, I left it. We got some huge news. Sorry, I left it. The combativeness prize, that’s it. The jury has met. So, what do you think? Don’t tell me they put Tim Wellens in. Philipsen? Yeah, Philipsen, that would have been great. Isn’t it bad? It’s not him. Tim Wellens? Yeah. It’s not him. Philipsen? It’s not him. Is he French? No, wait. There’s a trap. There’s a trap. First attacker of the day. I don’t think that’s ever happened on the roads of the Tour. No prize. If they have to give one. There won’t be a prize. No combativeness prize? No. The sponsor will be happy. There’s still time with this headwind. We still have a kilometer and a half to recover. A crash! It’s crashed. It fell behind. It unfortunately fell in the final 3 kilometers from the finish with this narrowing. We had to go left. This big fall that will cut the field in two. We’re going to lose a lot of people here. So no problem for those in the general classification who will be caught in this fall. Riders from the formation, Red Bull – Bora, in particular, who were caught in this fall. And Remco Evenepoel was caught in the fall. Remco Evenepoel caught in the fall a few moments ago. But where did he get caught in the fall? The two good Red Bulls. In Groenewegen’s wheel. There’s a Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe who remains on the ground. Currently, you don’t have all the images, but we have riders who remain on the ground. It’s passing and it’s stretching. Beyond 15th place, we have quite a few Lidl-Trek riders around Jonathan Milan. They’re already far away. We shouldn’t wait too long. It’s time. Right now, things are going well at Lidl-Trek. Groupama-FDJ, too. Merlier with Cees Bol. Tim Merlier again, who is being jostled with Phil Bauhaus beside him. Stewart, who has taken Milan’s wheel for Israel Premier Tech. He’s in the wheel, Jonathan Milan. It’s very, very early. Jonathan Milan still has two riders a kilometer away. There are still waves with Van Poppel, the Dutch champion, who will have to sprint. He was designated to be Meeus’s pilot fish. Meeus has fallen. It’s Van Poppel who will go for it. Tim Merlier is taking the wind to get back up to get in Jonathan Milan’s wheel . He jostled. There was jostling with Stewart. It’s Ackermann, not Stewart. Mathieu Van der Poel also, who made his comeback at 700 meters. The yellow jersey, there’s Biniam Girmay who’s there, Danny Van Poppel too. And Jonathan Milan who will make his effort in the wheel of the Picnic post-NL. Mathieu Van der Poel will not sprint. Kaden Groves, he will. We saw him, the yellow jersey, replace Kaden Groves, but he will being boxed in, Kaden Groves, too far away. Oh, another crash, another terrible one, the strike, there, less than 300 meters from the finish. Jonathan Milan launching his sprint. The European champion, Tim Merlier, who is also there. It will come down to the two of them. For now, it’s Tim Merlier who has a head start. Tim Merlier, still in front. Or Jonathan Milan, thrown off his bike. In the photo, finish. Tim Merlier raises his arm. It will come down to the tiniest detail between the two. The European champion and Jonathan Milan suddenly on the line. They were the two favorites. Who wins this third stage? We’ll have to watch the slow motion carefully, even if Tim Merlier thinks he’s won it. We might see with this image of helicopters. Penhoët with… Penhoët, Coquard. It’s Bryan Coquard. The three Frenchmen. It’s Bryan Coquard and Anthony Turgis who are in the crash. Paul was clean. But because he has to do the outside too, Tim Merlier, Jacky. There’s this slight curve to the left. Milan is on the inside and we have the impression that Merlier is much faster. And then… It’s Merlier. It looks like Merlier. You have to look at the photo finish, the bike throw. Merlier seems sure of himself. Wow. There was some damage there with Cess Bol, Penhoët. De Lie? No, 211.
Yes, yes. Arnaud De Lie too. Arnaud De Lie who braked before, but who couldn’t prevent this fall. Bittner who really launched from very far, but overtaken by the two big favorites of the day. We had announced them and it was a very good duel. And behind, we’ll be fighting for the places of honor with Waerenskjold, with Phil Bauhaus, with Bittner. And Kaden Groves who came back, who was a little blocked. And note that Biniam Girmay will also score points for the green jersey today. We’re waiting for the photo. We’re waiting for the photo, we’re still talking about it in the conditional tense. As for Damien Martin at the finish line. It’s confirmed with this finish photo. Tim Merlier had already won here in Dunkirk two years ago on the roads of the Four Days of Dunkirk. He wins today on the roads of the Tour de France. We’ll discover the rankings before joining Géraldine Weber and the Kings of the Pedals field to debrief everything that happened. We didn’t mention Amaury Capiot for the top 10 today. Merlier’s victory ahead of Milan, Bauhaus, Waerenskjold, Bittner, Biniam Girmay has just taken sixth place ahead of Kaden Groves. You’ll also find Danny Van Poppel and Pascal Ackermann in this top 10 of the third stage.

Un drapeau israélien dans la foule. Quel rapport?
Merci d'avance
ESTE CICLISMO DE HOY ES MAS TECNOLOGÍA Q DEPORTE ..
