In 2020 my buddy and I built these old 26ers we each had for years (25+ years for my 1993 7000 and since 2002 for his Hoo Koo E Koo) that weren't getting used for a multi day bike camping trip that was a pretty solid mix of single track and gravel seasonal roads with ~50 miles per day.

It was a cascade style build party. Started with tune 'em and better tires. Then came the "let's drop bar them", then quickly came single speed.

So these two came to be. We called the trip the "26er Autumn Mixer".

So this week his got a new crank, bottom bracket, pedals, rear cog, and chain.

Currently running 38t x 17t on his and 34t x 14t on mine.
