After my first trip, my six year old son has been asking to do a bikepacking trip together. This weekend we took it on.
We biked 10km to a lock station along the Rideau Canal, camped there for the night, then 10km back to the car. Lots of beautiful sights along the way. It was pure joy.

Making the foundational memories that last. Wholesome. My youngest is also planning to come out for an overnight this year, but he’s a bit older.
I rode like crazy with my two daughters. They grew up on my Big Dummy. One has graduated college the other starts this Fall. Neither would be caught dead on a bicycle in fact I just officially gave up hope and swiped the rear derailleur of the older ones bike which I still have. Look all you can do is plant the seed I certainly don’t mean to discourage you I’m sorry if it sounded like that. Get out there and have fun! Good times man.
