Cassette lockring tool won't fit and the cassette is clearly offset from the center of the axle. No idea where I screwed up and how, but now I have no idea how this cassette's gonna come off. Any suggestions?

Can you pull the end cap off to then fit the cassette tool? Most should come off without too much force.
IF you have a bench vice, fit the tool to the vice then put the wheel on top so you can use the leverage of the diameter?
