Hello all.
I’m hoping for some help here.
I’ve just tried to remove a single spacer on my Grail to try out a small change in handlebar height.
Now the fork is completely loose and wobbling. Obviously when the bike arrived last week the fork was sitting perfectly fine. I’ve only been out on the bike twice.
What am I supposed to do to tighten the fork again?
Many thanks

Extra info: the fork moves up and down and back and forth within the frame.
You put that spacer back under the cap and didn’t just remove it from under the stem, right? Because that would explain it.
Bike arrived with handlebars attached? Usually they require you to assemble.
Loosen the two bolts on side of stem. Tighten top bolt to correct torque. Tighten back two bolts to correct torque.
You need to pre load your headset bearings. Loosen the stem, then tighten the headset cap to specified torque and re tighten stem. Should remove any play
You have to assemble in the right sequence.
Don’t put the wheel on to remove that weight from pulling the head tube down.
Put the top cap on and tighten just a bit.
Adjust so there is no play.
Torque the headset bolts.
Torque the top cap.
Install the wheel.
I hope it’s not the grail SL 8. I returned one with exactly the same problem last year…
